7 Best Floral Scented Candles

Candlefind Best Floral Scented Candles

I’ve not always been a fan of floral scented candles…they triggered my migraines, smelled fake, were too overpowering…on and on and on. A few years ago I realized it wasn’t floral candles I hated…I hated bad floral candles. There’s a huge difference and once I got turned on to the beauty of florals, I never looked back. Now they are one of my favorite types of scents, right up with there with bakery and clean scents.

Since it’s National Garden Month, we thought it would be a good idea to share with you our picks for the 7 best floral scented candles your money can buy. In no particular order, our picks are:

Village Candle

Wild Rose

Village Candle Wild Rose Candle
This is not the rose of pristine and manicured gardens. Our rose is wild, a little unruly and blooms freely in unexpected places. Secretive and sensuous, we’ve paired our rose with the prettiness of peonies and illuminating mandarin and sandalwood. This is a fragrance with passion and deep enchantment in full bloom. Wild Rose from Village Candle is a beautiful rose-scented candle. It has just enough of the “old world” rose scent mixed with some earthiness and sweet florals to make this an incredible blend. The scent throw is strong but the actual scent itself is not too overpowering.

Jo Malone

Peony & Blush Suede

Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Candle
The essence of charm. Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile. Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower. Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede. Luxurious and seductive. To uplift, to wind down, or simply to add an air of luxury. Transform the atmosphere with luxury and opulence. Peony & Blush Suede from Jo Malone is a gorgeous scent that combines soft florals with sweet fruitiness and a hint of leather-like warmth. It’s a complex mix that only Jo Malone can pull off successfully, and that they do. We could burn this scent for hours on end and never tire of it.

Trapp Fragrances

Bob’s Flower Shoppe

Trapp Fragrances Bob’s Flower Shoppe Candle
The Signature Home Collection – No. 13 Bob’s Flower Shoppe candle – imagine walking into an open air flower market – you are enveloped by the fragrance of all the flowers, freshly cut green stems, and water droplets on each petal. Photo credit: Trapp Fragrances

Ok, you have to be a true flower fan to like this candle, but Bob’s Flower Shoppe from TRAPP Fragrances is ah-MAY-zing! It is so fresh and fragrant…just as if you are walking into a flower shop smack dab in the middle of Spring. It’s a good blend of a variety of florals with fresh greenery to boot. It’s fairly potent, too!

Yankee Candle

Fresh Cut Roses

An intoxicating English garden of fragrant heirloom roses. Photo Credit: Yankee Candle

It’s no secret that we have a candle crush on Fresh Cut Roses from Yankee Candle Company. It’s one of the few large jar candles from Yankee that we think are still worth buying. This scent is such a pretty, soft rose scent, perfumey without being overly so. There is enough greenery here to make you think you’re outside surrounded by a rose bush in full bloom.

Cedar Mountain Candle

Cascading Waterfall

Hear us out on this one. This is the floral for those who don’t like florals. The ozone notes give this floral a fresh, beachy vibe, making it relaxing and enchanting.

Nest

Bamboo

NEST Bamboo Candle
Create the aroma of a welcoming garden with this bestselling fragrance, Bamboo. This Classic Candle features the iconic scent’s blend of white florals with an abundance of lush green notes and hints of sparkling citrus. Photo credit: NEST

With a name like Bamboo, you might not think of this as a floral candle, but don’t sleep on this scent from NEST. It is a lovely, fresh floral mix with a brightness of citrus and such realistic green notes it’s mesmerizing. The scent throw is fantastic and this candle burns a super long time, taking the sting out of the slightly higher price tag.

Charlotte Candle Company

English Garden

Charlotte Candle Company English Garden Candle
Bursting with every imaginable floral note under the sun, bringing the beauty and splendor of an 18th century English garden into any home. NOTES: Lavender, Bergamot, Hyacinth, Carnation, Clove, Violet and Ylang Ylang.Photo credit: Charlotte Candle Company

This fragrance is lush and floral-sweet. It’s the perfect choice if you love floral scented candles, with a rich bouquet of fragrance notes that will make you long for more.

There you have it! Our recommendations for the seven best floral scented candles you can buy. There are a ton of good options, though, in this scent category, so don’t limit yourself to just these few. Now get out there to celebrate National Garden Month and #buymorecandles.
