Intro To My Review
In this Bath & Body Works Paris Café candle review, we’re revisiting one of the brand’s most beloved coffee fragrances. The moment I smelled Paris Café, I practically went to heaven. If you’re a coffee lover, this Bath & Body Works candle is absolutely worth seeking out.
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
The remainder of the description from the website read:
Working remotely from a Parisian café—aka a coffee lover’s dream.
What Did My Candle Look Like?
This candle was their typical 3-wick tumbler complete with a gold lid. It had a gorgeous pink scroll pattern and a gold band down the center that housed the company & scent names. The wax color was a light brown. The bottom sticker did include the scent notes.

How Did My Candle Smell?
I lit this candle in my favorite room for testing candles: my master bedroom. It’s a large space, which makes it easy to evaluate strength and throw. Within minutes of lighting, I began noticing the aroma, and after about 30 minutes it had spread throughout the entire upper level of my home—including the bedroom, bathroom, closets, hallway, and living room.
Paris Café smelled like having my own personal coffee shop at home. The fragrance was dominated by rich, creamy coffee with hints of vanilla cream. While the sugared brioche note took a back seat, the coffee note remained front and center throughout the burn.
Strength: 10/10. This candle was an absolute room filler and one of the strongest coffee scents I’ve encountered.
A Note From Candlefind
This Bath & Body Works Paris Café candle review was originally published several years ago and has been updated for our Archives series. At the time of this update, Paris Café remains available today. We recently revisited this candle and found it just as enjoyable as we remembered. The rich coffee note still takes center stage, supported by a creamy vanilla sweetness that never becomes overwhelming.
We did not experience the wick issues mentioned in the original review, and we’ve updated portions of this article to reflect the candle’s current appearance. While Bath & Body Works prices have certainly increased over the years, Paris Café remains one of our favorite coffee fragrances and a scent we’d happily purchase again. It has also earned its place among our best coffee scented candles!
How Did My Candle Burn?
Paris Café burned beautifully through a little more than half of the candle before wick performance became an issue. All three wicks eventually weakened, resulting in an uneven burn and some tunneling. Unfortunately, none of the usual maintenance tricks were able to fully correct the problem.
While the burn performance was disappointing, it didn’t change my opinion of the fragrance itself. The scent remained one of the strongest and most enjoyable coffee fragrances I’ve encountered.
