Shining the Light on Hope & Glow Candles

There are a number of different scented products available at Hope & Glow Candles. They offer 8oz and 16oz candles in standard jars with lids. They also have a variety of smaller styled candles, from 2-4 ounces. They have wax melts that are referred to as Mimi’s Wax Melts, which are clamshell style. In addition, they offer reed diffusers that you can buy as a set or just a refill for your original packaging. A cute addition to the standard reed diffuser is a fabric flower that can be used with or without the reeds to diffuse the scent. From review of their website it appears they have recently added an essential oil line to their range of products. In addition to the products we tested, we were also sent a package of scent samplers. These cute tins are not available on the website, but would most likely be available at their local craft shows. 

I tested Bougie Rouge in Hope & Glow’s wax melts that they have for sale. These are clamshell style wax melts and weigh in at approximately 2.5 ounces of wax. The sleeve they are in is all blinged out with a textured feel and gold, glittery look. There are 6 total cubes in the clamshell, with each one being individually poured – no breaking apart necessary! The wax was firm but not super hard and it was a gorgeous red color.

This scent was FANTASTIC and was spot-on for Baccarat Rouge 540. The fragrance was sensual and bright with a bit of sexy warmth the longer it was on the melter. I found that one wax melt cube did well in the small and medium sized rooms with two cubes doing really well in a larger sized space. Scent strength was around 4 out of 5 with an equally potent scent throw. 

The scent Fresh was the 8 ounce candle jar from Hope & Glow. It came in a gold, decorative box complete with a gold bow…perfect for gift giving! The candle was single-wicked and in a thick-bottomed, frosted glass jar with a wooden lid. The candle jar label had the company name clearly displayed and there was a smaller label on the lid that contained the scent name. I do think the font was a bit hard to read at the smaller size, but it was not impossible. 

I had zero problems getting a full wax melt pool with this candle and it had an even, clean burn. The scent itself was wonderfully fresh, crisp, and clean. It was a little perfumey, as a lot of fresh linen scents can be, but it was not overwhelmingly so. It really smelled like fresh laundry just out of the dryer. The scent strength was strong (4.5 out of 5) with its throw being a 4 out of 5. 

Summer Bliss was the 16 ounce candle from Hope & Glow, which is a 3-wick, tumbler style jar. It also came housed in a large gold box with a gold, tied ribbon. The label had the company name and the scent name was on the wooden lid. The wax was white in color.

Summer Bliss was incredibly bright and energizing. There was a beautiful blend of floral notes with hints of citrus notes that made it feel very summer-y. The added green notes made the scent seem very authentic. I got a full wax melt pool very easily with this candle and had no worries about the wicks. The scent was nice and strong (4 out of 5) with an incredible throw of 5 out of 5. 

The Citrus Blast reed diffuser came in a box that included 6 reeds. The bottle was a gorgeous gold color that had an upscale look to it. Our diffuser oil came in a separate bottle that we simply poured in for fragrancing. We also got one of their fabric flowers that was so pretty! We decided to use 5 of the 6 included reeds and we wrapped our flower around the neck of the bottle to give it a very elegant look. 

This scent was fabulous – very fruity and crisp. There were a few green notes that we detected but we never got the vanilla notes. Still this fragrance was perfect as a diffuser and we found it did well in our small and even medium sized rooms. The scent strength itself was 4 out of 5 with the throw around 3.5 out of 5. We got several weeks worth of use out of this diffuser as we had enough oil to replenish the jar twice. 

We absolutely loved our introduction to Hope & Glow Candles, and we recommend them without hesitation. All the products are beautifully presented and would make excellent gifts without any extra packaging. The candles had clean, even burns and the wicks were worry-free. I do think that they burned a little faster than I would have liked, but the candles are still priced exceptionally well for the product received. The wax melts lasted a long time as did the reed diffuser. We really liked the fabric flower and the different ways it could be used. Our only (minor) complaint with this company would be the font legibility of the scent labels. The cursive font is beautiful and fitting, but a bit hard to read on the smaller sized labels for the packaging. That aside, we found this company fantastic & look forward to seeing their continued growth! 5 out of 5!
