We absolutely love Ambrosia Flame Candles, as the candles are affordable, clean-burning, and oh man…do they have some great scents! That’s one of the things we confirmed while doing this Banana Bread candle review. So yummy & delicious! Who Is Banana Bread For?
This Banana Bread candle is definitely for those bakery candle lovers or if you love gourmand scents. This is a great soy candle if you want a 100% soy candle option, too.
This candle is also for those who are looking to support small candle businesses as opposed to those that are mass produced. Each of these delicious candles are hand-poured in the state of Wisconsin. While we found this fragranced candle fantastic, we did not find it overpowering, so if you are looking for a more subtle fragrance, this might be the candle for you.
What did we test?

Our standardized review process at Candlefind is to test all candles in a small, medium, and large sized room, no matter the candle size. This particular candle did really well in the small-sized room and performed well in the medium-sized room. It did get lost in a larger sized room, which was not surprising given its size. If using this candle in a large or open-spaced area, it would work better to burn two at opposite sides of the space.
What did we like about Banana Bread?
I have burned several candles from Ambrosia Flame now and have never had any difficulty with the burn. The wicks are easy to maintain and the candle pools out well. I noticed the same thing with this Banana Bread candle – nice, clean and even burns. The organic rose petals and pink Himalayan sea salt were nice additions to the candle as they added to the aesthetics. This is a candle style that would fit into most, if not all, decor types.

The scent was absolutely delicious. I found this candle fragrance to be very authentic and mouthwatering. This was a smaller sized candle at 8 ounces, but it did burn slowly and it provided several hours of enjoyment. This made this candle super affordable and reasonably priced, which we also enjoyed.
What didn't we like about Banana Bread?
While we loved this candle fragrance, we would have liked it to be a tad stronger. The candle did well in our small testing room and fared ok in our medium sized room. In the larger sized space, we would definitely need more than one candle in the room. I found the best spot for this candle on my office desk as I was able to enjoy the fragrance without hovering right over the candle.
We also wish that Banana Bread came in a wax melt option. Ambrosia Flame used to have wax melts on their website, but they are no longer listed…at least at the time of this writing. I hope this is only temporary and that they bring those wax melts back!
