Intro To My Wax Melt Review
I’m slowly working my way through my sampler from Closet Full of Wax and, so far, I’m more than impressed. Card Soldiers was such a huge hit around here, I was anxious to try another bakery scent. Next up? Yoshi – a mix of funnel cake and waffle cone. How could it be anything but delicious?
First Impressions of My Wax Melt
I wasn’t exactly sure what Yoshi wax (I had to Google it) and I’m still not sure about the association with waffle cones. Still it was a fun name and a cute unicorn shape, so I was cool with that. The scent description was on the package, which is good because I can’t locate the scent description on the website for this particular scent.

Simple enough! I took a cold whiff and boy! Was I hit with the bakery scent? Oh yeah! This was a heavy, heavy bakery scent and the most I could tell on cold sniff was that it was definitely yeasty and bready. It was hard to tell much more past that on cold sniff, so it was time to start melting.
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
I used this scent in a 24W bulb melter in my large, open living space. It started putting out scent immediately! Ooooh the joys of a funnel cake scent! That’s what I got initially – a heavy fried dough smell with hints of cinnamon. As the wax continued to melt, I could smell more caramel-ly vanilla, which I’m assuming was the waffle cone contribution. This scent had just a hint of sweetness from the powdered sugar. I’m a BIG TIME bakery fan and even I found myself wanting this just a tad bit sweeter. Still it was super delicious and did take me back to carnival fair days.
The scent itself was super strong – it became a little much for my family who was visiting, as they are not as into the bakery scents as I am. Still, even when I turned off the melter, this one kept scenting up the room.
The scent throw was FABULOUS! I could smell it in the open area and well beyond. On down my hallways – just all throughout the house. Yum! It lasted a long time, too. I had it going off and on one day (the day I had company) and then I kept it going all day the next, when it was just me to revel in the bakery goodness. I was amazed at how long this wax melt lasted. Score!
Closing To My Wax Melt Review
This was another good one from CFOW and I can’t wait to try more of their scents. I would like to reorder this one, if possible. If I could, I would probably mix it up myself with something else to make it just a little sweeter and not so heavy. If you are a bakery fan, go for this one if it’s still available for purchase. Just know you have to LOVE bakery to really enjoy this one. I can’t wait to see what’s next up from CFOW.
