First impression of Whiskey Butterscotch:
Oh boy have I been loving all these bakery scents from White Barn lately. I’ve always loved the sweet scent of butterscotch so I had high hopes this candle would smell good enough to eat. Once I smelled the wax, I smiled. Yummy!! This candle did smell good enough to eat!
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
Creamy butterscotch, vanilla, touch of sweet whiskey.
Mmmm!! This scent smelled divine! My nose detected creamy vanilla and sugary butterscotch all the way. Sweet whiskey? Maybe but it was hard to tell. What I could smell was perfect – a creamy butterscotch vanilla.
I loved it! Now let’s see how this candle performs!!
I lit this candle in my master bedroom and waited for the magic to begin. Ten minutes later… a very interesting fragrance wafted all throughout my bedroom. I smelled vanilla, butterscotch and yep… even whiskey and it was prominent and very different. I didn’t know what to make of it. The overall scent wasn’t really a sweet bakery – it truly was more of a creamy vanilla and whiskey with hints of butterscotch. I liked it, maybe because it was so unusual. If you’ve tried this scent, I would love to know what you thought of it.
Strength – I would rate this candle an 8/9 out of 10 in a large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. Very nice scent throw with this candle!
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned great. No wick issues. YEAH!! Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Whiskey Butterscotch was an interesting fragrance I enjoyed… not sure enough to purchase again but enough that I would recommend you go smell one for yourself, especially if you love unique vanilla scents. The vanilla and whiskey was loud and clear, the butterscotch light and in the
background. Very different.
I don’t see this fragrance listed on Bath & Body Works website anymore but it wasn’t that long ago I purchased this candle so I bet it’s still available in stores.

They stopped selling this scent for some reason. How sad. It was the best scent of all the 3 wick candles. I went into one of their stores and sniffed about 60 different three wick candles today and none of them even come close to the great fragrance the Whiskey Butterscotch one had. Why on earth did they discontinue it??? 🙁

That’s one of the downsides to Bath & Body Works candles… they now rotate fragrances every year. So when you find a fragrance you love, and you love it THAT much… stock up on it. 🙂
