We’ve had a few Kringle Candle company reviews on this site, but we aim to get more up over the next several months. This company is ah-mazing and they seem to come out with more and more interesting scents all the time. Their Farmhouse Collection was a no-brainer for us to try, including this Watermelon & Lime candle. We love fruity, we love Kringle…time to try this one out!
Watermelon Lime, Kringle Candle
The candles in the Farmhouse Collection of candles have an upscale country feel. The vessel had a pattern that resembled shiplap with a gold, textured lid. The scent name was clearly displayed. You had to search a bit to note that it was a Kringle Candle, but that info was clear on the sticker on the bottom.
There were three wicks inside and they were spaced out well. The wax, a soy blend, was white and undyed. A nice, clean look which I loved overall.
The cold sniff on this Watermelon & Lime candle was light but noticeably sweet. It smelled like a sweet, freshly cut slice of watermelon with just a little bit of green notes. Delicious!

Once lit, the watermelon scent became more prominent – sweet, juicy, and strong. The green notes turned out to be more minty and seemed to be peppered throughout the burn. I wasn’t quite sure about the lime notes, other than the fact that this scent was a little bit zippy and refreshing. It was a fantastic blend that I really enjoyed.
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I found this Watermelon & Lime candle to be moderately strong – not too overpowering but definitely packed a decent punch. You would certainly know the candle was burning if walking in the room and could tell what the scent notes were. The scent throw was fantastic – I could smell it in a large bedroom and the scent wafted on down the hall.
This Watermelon & Lime candle had a slow burn, as was expected for the soy blend wax. The candle took a long time to get a full wax melt pool, even with the 3 wicks. I did get one after about 3-4 hours, then with just a small rim of wax on the sides. The flames would get high if I didn’t keep the wicks trimmed throughout the burn. I didn’t notice any black soot if I kept my wicks trimmed fairly short.
This Watermelon & Lime candle from Kringle Candle was absolutely delicious. Many watermelon scents can be too sweet, smelling almost candy-like. Not so with Watermelon Lime – it was sweet and fresh with some green, zippy notes that make it smell authentic and mouthwateringly good. This candle is currently out of stock on the website, but we hope that it gets back in stock soon – we want to buy in bulk!
About Kringle Candle
Kringle Candle Company was the birth-child of Mike Kittredge II and his son, Mike Kittredge III in 2009. The senior Mr. Kittredge was a bit familiar with the candle industry, as he was the original founder of Yankee Candle Company. They started with all-white candles and then expanded into the Country Kitchen candle line, which comes in an array of vibrant colors. In addition to various candle styles, they offer wax melts, room sprays, and firestarters.
