Introduction to my Watermelon Lemonade candle from Bath & Body Works review:
Bath & Body Works has become one of my top “go to” sites for scented candles. I am loving them… especially this year’s summer scents – which (I might add) are fast moving out to make room for their new fall line up.
My mission this summer was to get as many B&BW’s candles reviewed as possible. I am a summer gal to the core and fall comes all too quickly for me so I didn’t even get half of them reviewed… I tried though.
Next up… Watermelon Lemonade. A scent and candle that I didn’t even have to read the description before buying it. I knew just by the name alone I wanted this one.
What does my Watermelon Lemonade candle look like?
My candle was their large 3 wick jar. The lid was shiny chrome with Bath & Body Works embossed lightly in the center. The wax color was pink. The label on the face of the jar showed a picture of mason jars filled with watermelon lemonade.
What did my Watermelon Lemonade candle smell like?
Smelling this candle cold…. instant like!!! This smelled just like sweet and sugary lemonade. I could smell a candied watermelon with the perfect amount of tangy lemonade. Two scents I never would have thought to put together.
Here is the scent description from Bath & Body Works website:
“The coolest sip of summer! Quench your thirst for long summer days with this refreshing blend of watermelon ice, sparkling water and freshly squeezed Meyer lemons.”
For a lemon lover who loves a good lemonade scent… it doesn’t get any better than that. I love spin-off scents from classics. Myer Lemons & watermelon! YUM!
I lit this candle in my bedroom and it didn’t take long for the fragrance to saturate the room. Mmmmm!! It filled the entire room and beyond so the strength of this candle was perfect. Describing this scent for you… it smelled like a watermelon candy/lemonade to me. I could smell the lemonade and a sweet and tart candy like scent mixed in. Very much like sweet tart candies. Overall, it was very fresh and super summery. Not sure I would say it’s the best lemonade scent I’ve tried but it was pretty good and one I would for sure repurchase.
How did my Watermelon Lemonade candle burn?
It burned very well. With this candle, I had to *really* keep up with trimming all three wicks. If I didn’t, the flames would become huge torches. But as soon as I trimmed my wicks, perfect burn. No wasted wax, no soot.
Closing to my review:
I enjoyed this candle. I wouldn’t say it was one of Bath & Body Works best this summer but it was good and I would purchase it again (on sale of course.) I believe this scent is moving
out to make room for all their new fall scented candles so if you wanted one, you may be able to still get some in their stores. It’s not available on their website anymore.
If you have a store near you, I highly recommend you head on over and smell all their scented goodies. I don’t have one near me so I shop online. Good thing… they ship super fast and have AWESOME sales on a regular basis. So, be sure to check their site regularly for sales if you planned on giving these candles a whirl… that would be the time to purchase these beauties!
Happy candle burning!
