First Impression:
Hmm…. wasn’t too sure about this scent but I bought it anyway… I wasn’t really wowed when I smelled it for the first time like I usually am with the majority of their bakery scents. I love bakery (it’s my absolute favorite) but I’ve learned through the years never to fully judge a scent smelling it cold. A lot of times, the fragrance really comes alive once it’s burning or melting. So, in my
cart 2 went.
The picture on the label shows apples, almonds, cinnamon and vanilla pods. Initial sniff, I wasn’t really smelling cinnamon… this scent did not smell spicy at all. To me, it smelled like a creamy and weird nutmeg or something. I wasn’t really even smelling apple which surprised me… apple is usually so dominating… even when blended with other scents.
Melting:
After melting this scent for a full 2 hours… I was not liking it. Initial sniff was an accurate assessment for me. I smelled bakery but it was so heavy and thick with no real sweetness.
I know the scent name is “Warm Comforting Kitchen” but I found nothing comforting about it. Sorry Better Homes. I didn’t really smell apple or vanilla at all… no cake or cookie notes which is what I was expecting. I did not like this scent at all. Keep in mind, my opinion is just that… my own assessment. So if you’re a bakery lover and you follow my reviews and for the most part, agree with me… you’ll see what I mean when you try this one. It was just weird.
Scent strength: On a scale of 1 to 10, this was maybe a 7. I melted a full clamshell in two electric melters (3 cubes in each melter) in one large great room. The strength was stready and medium. It wasn’t super overpowering but you definitely knew it was there.
Would I buy this scent again? No way! But don’t take my word for it… go smell one and see for yourself. You may like it… you never know.
Happy melting!
