First impression of Warm Cinnamon Buns:
Holy mackerel!! I’ve tried my fair share of cinnamon bun fragrances but so far, this one takes the prize. It smelled SOOOO freaking good, I wanted to eat the wax with a tall glass of milk. Seriously!!! I smelled a warm doughy bread loaded with cinnamon and sweet frosting. YUM!!!!
Before I get going on the actual review, I have to mention how much I’m loving Swan Creek’s drizzle melts. I’m actually preferring them over their candles simply because they’re much stronger and I can enjoy the aroma in much larger spaces. Their candles limit me to smaller rooms… not so with melts and I am loving it!!
Okay, onto the scent. Here is the description I pulled from Swan Creek’s website:
You don’t need the fair for sticky buns! A high throw of cinnamon with a mild buttery cake throw will have you waiting for more!
Yeah… just based off cold sniff, cinnamon definitely dominates but boy can you also smell the doughy cake. Mmmm!!!
Time to get melting!
Melting:
Swan Creek drizzle melts are huge so I only need one cube per melter. In my case, I use 2 cubes, one each in two electric melters in my great room. It’s a huge space and two melters work best.
Once melting, it took a good 20 minutes before the aroma was really moving through my living room and it smelled pretty good. Sadly, not as good
as it smelled cold sniff. The doughy component kind of withered away leaving behind a warm cinnamon fragrance. I liked it, I just would have preferred more dough/bread/cake aroma I had originally detected. Oh well…. we can’t have it all I suppose.
Strength – I would rate this scent a 7 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. Not super strong in a large room but decent.
In closing, I liked Warm Cinnamon Buns from Swan Creek but not enough to purchase again. Funny how that works out. I went in thinking it was the bomb to – meh. I could take it or leave it. It happens. What can I say?
