First Impression:
I love vanilla scents and usually purchase every kind of vanilla wax I find that smells sweet. The sweet and creamy versions are definitely my favorite. ScentSationals Vanilla Bean smelled pretty good on cold sniff. I’m not sure I thought it smelled like ice cream as the picture on the label implies but it did smell sweet and that was good enough for
me. Besides, Walmart prices are too good to pass up so I bought a few to test out.
Melting:
Let’s start with the scent description found on the label:
“Good old fashioned vanilla.”
That’s simply put and pretty accurate. The wax did smell like a classic vanilla but definitely more on the sweeter side… which I loved.
I used the entire clamshell pack (3 cubes each) in two electric melters in my great room. Once melting, it took about ten minutes to really start noticing the scent and boy was it delicious. Once the aroma filled the room…. I smelled a creamy and smooth vanilla – not a cakey or a bread vanilla, just a creamy and sweet one… heavy on the cream…. it was mouth watering. And bonus, there was nothing fake or synthetic about it like some vanilla scents can take on. Vanilla lovers, you know what I’m talking about.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this an 7. It wasn’t super strong but gave a nice and steady medium throw.
This was an excellent vanilla and one I’ll for sure purchase again, in larger quantities.
