First impression of Vanilla Bean from Pure Clean Soy:

Pure Clean Soy is a brand sold at Target stores and manufactured by Illume which happens to be one of my favorite luxury brands. I love the scent choices they offer at Target. Illume fragrances listed on their website are more exotic and luxurious where as the candles they offer at Target are more everyday fruity and bakery scents. I like both, but I do have a soft spot for the ones at Target, scent and price wise.

Vanilla Bean isn’t listed on Target’s website, but it is available in stores. I don’t have a scent description, but one really isn’t needed. This candle truly does smell like a classic vanilla bean. Creamy but not too sweet.

I decided to stay conservative and light this candle in a small room to start out. Yes it’s wide with three wicks but vanilla scents tend to be on the lighter side and I wanted maximum scent throw with this one. A small room did the trick.

Once the wicks were lit, it took a little over thirty minutes to reach a full melt pool and the aroma… a sweet and true vanilla bean fragrance. It was creamy but just as it smelled on cold sniff, it wasn’t too sweet at the same time. I would say classify this one as a true vanilla bean.

Strength – as expected, this candle was lightly scented. In a super small room, I would rate this candle a 6/7 out of 10. I wouldn’t even attempt burning it in anything larger. My opinion.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish.

Closing to my review:

This was a nice vanilla and I did enjoy it but it was definitely on the lighter side. Vanilla scents usually are so I always keep that in mind when I burn this scent. With that said, I do recommend this candle if you love classic vanilla bean fragrances. If however you’re after power, this candle is probably not for you.
