Introduction to my Village Candle review:

Village Candle is one of my favorite big named brands to date. I can always count on quality and strength with just about every candle I’ve tried from this company. Their styles have changed over the years to keep up with the times but thankfully, quality hasn’t. I also appreciate they don’t gouge you with their prices. These candles are very affordable and long lasting.

Their website is beautiful and well designed. Very easy to navigate with vivid pictures and clear descriptions of all their scents. When shopping for candles online, that is key for me since I’m ordering blindly.

This review centers on two candles I tried recently. Lemon Puff & Pineapple Sorbet. A name like Lemon Puff sold me right off the bat. I looooooove a good lemon scent.

What Do My Village Candles Look Like?

Lemon Puff is from their premium line and are square contemporary style jars with flat glass lids. The wax color of my candle was yellow and my candle had a single wick. Pineapple Sorbet was a 16oz candle from their Village Round collection. My candle was double wicked and the wax color a soft yellow. The Village Round candles are classic style apothecary jars with dome lids and are very reasonably priced. This is definitely the way to go if you’ve been interested in trying this candle line as a 16oz jar is only $15.00.

How Did My Village Candles Smell?

Lemon Puff:

As an avid lemon connoisseur… I couldn’t pass this one up. I had been eyeing this scent for months before I couldn’t stand it anymore and finally caved. Anything that has “puff” at the end sounds too good to be true… put lemon before it and I was sold. I had a feeling this candle was bound to smell delicious and boy was I right! Here’s the scent description for this fragrance.

“The light stuff… Indulge your senses in pillows of flaky puff pastry lightly dusted in clouds of confection embracing a delectable fresh lemon sauce expertly blended with gourmet bakery notes with a lasting finish of vanilla pleasure. Best of all — no calories!”

I added this candle to my cart before I even read the description but after reading it, I was practically drooling. Descriptions are so key to me and this description was very well written. Lemon Puff is only available in Village Candles premium line which means (to me) they’re way more expensive than their round apothecary jars.

I really-really liked this scent and will definitely be back for more. It was warm, lemony delicious and I found myself breathing this scent in every chance I got. I love the fragrance of warm bakery lemon scents, I simply can’t resist them. The lemon was delicious and blended with that flakey pastry scent just completed the package for me, it was beyond yummy!!

The scent throw on my candles gave a medium throw and I had two candles burning at once. It wasn’t as strong as I would have preferred but nevertheless, it was wonderful. I definitely liked it enough for a repeat purchase. I very much recommend this scent if you ever have the opportunity to purchase it.

Pineapple Sorbet:

I was able to purchase Village Round jars in this scent.  They’re a great deal if you think about it… $15 bucks for a 16oz jar.  What a steal!  They fluctuate what scents are available in this line though so you never know what scents are there when you look.

I love Pineapple…to eat and to smell.  When it’s pineapple season, we always buy whole ones, core them and fight over who gets to eat this sweet and succulent fruit.  There’s nothing like it and it’s a nice tropical fragrance in a candle as well.  Here is the scent description for this fragrance:

“A juicy plantation pineapple, lightly whipped with vanilla and chilled to an icy sweet delight.”

I enjoyed this scent and thought it smelled just like a Pineapple smoothie drink.  My house was filled with a delicious pineapple sweetness that got me many compliments from my daughter and her endless teenage girlfriends that traipse through my house every day.  I love watching their faces the moment they walk through the door.  If they stop and sniff the air and say, “Mmmmmmmm”.. I know it passes the test and this one did. 🙂

These candles gave a nice medium+ throw and I think if given the opportunity, I would purchase this scent again for sure.

My candles burned fine. Clean burn, full melt pool with zero wasted wax.

Overall Opinion of Village Candle Company:closing to my candle review

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with this company.  I did try a few scents I wasn’t crazy about but I think that’s pretty normal with any company.

I really loved these two specific scents I tried and would not hesitate to purchase both again. If you have a chance to try a Village Candle…. go for it. You won’t be sorry.

Happy candle burning!
