Introduction to my Tutti Dolci candle review…

It’s hard to believe Valentine’s Day is around the corner considering I’m still trying to recover from Christmas. Since time has a way of flying past us before we know it, Carolyn and I decided we better get some reviews up for Valentine’s Day now before it’s upon us and too late. So, my first review will be on a candle I purchased from Bath & Body Works in the fragrance Chocolate Fondue. That name alone would make any chocolate lovers mouth water and since chocolate goes hand in hand with Valentine’s Day too, I thought it was perfect.

Tutti Dolci products can be found at any Bath & Body Works store. They have body lotions, lip glosses and perfumes along with candles in delectable fragrances you literally want to eat right out of the tubes and jars. They usually only carry a few fragrances on display at a time but the ones I’ve sniffed in passing have been decadent, delicious and extremely authentic. This was my first purchase ever with this particular brand so you could say I indulged myself considering it’s a $20.00 candle. Mmmmm and it worth every penny folks. This is THE chocolate candle ever!

What did my Chocolate Fondue candle look like?

My candle came in a cute pink box that my candle fit in snugly. The wax color is a deep chocolate brown with three wicks. The shape of my candle is a hexagon. The look is very modern and classy.

How did My Chocolate Fondue candle smell?

Oh my gosh, YUM!! When I first opened the box to smell this candle, I closed my eyes, took a big whiff and was in a chocolate cloud of heaven. I’ve tried many chocolate candles which Melted chocolateall seem to smell like cocoa more than actual chocolate. Tutti Dolci’s Chocolate Fondue takes the cake on authenticity. It smells just like hot fudge that melts in your mouth, I couldn’t believe it.

I was anxious to light my candle just to see if once lit, it burned as good as it smelled when I first opened the box. I lit my candle in the morning as usual and not long after, the fragrance of chocolate was throughout my bedroom and bathroom and filtering into my great-room as well. I was not disappointed with this scent at all. This candle gives a strong scent throw but not overpowering which is just the way I like it. I can smell it loud and clear but it’s not overpowering. A few hours after I had it burning, my daughter came home from the movies and the first words out of her mouth were, “Mom, it smells like chocolate in here, what did you bake?” My husband on the other hand did not like this fragrance at all. He said it was way too strong and smelled better unlit. Interesting…

In closing, I think this was the best chocolate candle I’ve found yet and would for sure buy it again. If you put your nose up to this candle and then a box of opened chocolates, you would have a hard time telling the difference.

candle-flameHow did my Chocolate Fondue candle burn?

My candle burned great. Three wicks did the trick for a nice even and clean burn. I also think my candle is lasing a long time so I’m definitely getting my moneys worth. I’ve had no smoke or soot. I do have to trim the wicks but that’s pretty standard with any candle.

Overall opinion of my Tutti Dolci’s Chocolate Fondue candle:

I loved my Chocolate candle from Tutti Dolci and wish I would have bought more than one. It was an indulging fragrance and I enjoyed it to the very end. Every time I go into a Bath & valentine treeBody Works store, I always smell all the candles. Tutti Dolci has some good ones that are very life like and delicious. After trying this Chocolate one and loving it, I’ll probably indulge myself again and will be more apt to try different fragrances in the future.

I say go for it if you’re ever in a store that carries this brand. Tutti Dolci candles aren’t too bad in price compared to some other brands in Bath & Body Works. I cringe at the price of some others in there but these were actually reasonable at $20 bucks a pop. Chocolate is very indulging, very delicious and sinful, and perfect for a Valentines Day gift for Chocolate lovers out there.

Happy candle burning!
