First impression of Toasted Vanilla Chai:

Toasted Vanilla Chai smelled amazing and unlike any vanilla chai I’ve ever tried or tasted. Hot or cold.

Here is the scent description for Toasted Vanilla Chai:

Made with ginger and nutmeg essential oils with notes of cinnamon and clove.

The description doesn’t mention vanilla or cream but it’s in the scent name so I know it’s there. The base of this scent was a milky vanilla that was smooth as can be. I also smelled the nutmeg and ginger but those two were light and in the background. The main part of this scent was definitely the sweet and creamy vanilla and it was deeeee-licious!! Seriously, it smelled so good, I was tempted to drink this candle.

Toasted Vanilla Chai Loved!! Now let’s see how it performs!

I lit my Toasted Vanilla Chai candle in my master bedroom and about an hour later, I moved it to a medium size room, and then soon after that to an even smaller room. The fragrance smelled wonderful but very, very light. Once I found the right room (my small powder room,) a yummy and warm vanilla with ginger and nutmeg filled my bathroom, and it was heavenly. The cinnamon and clove never did materialize for me and I was perfectly okay with that. The fragrance itself… perfect! I don’t drink a lot of chai teas or lattes but if I did, this is what I would love for it to taste like. A very sweet and milky vanilla with the perfect sprinkling of nutmeg and ginger. I loved it. I just wish the fragrance would have been much stronger. That was the only downside to this candle.

Which brings me to strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 3 out of 10 in a large room. 5 in a medium and 7 in a small. For a Bath & Body Works candle, that’s not very strong.

How did my Toasted Vanilla Chai candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end.

Closing to my review:

Loved Toasted Vanilla Chai. I just wish the strength would have been stronger. In all fairness though, vanilla scents do tend to be on the lighter side and since this candle was fragranced with essential oils, I won’t dock it too much in the “strength” department… but, it’s still something to keep in mind should you give this candle a try. In fact, if you can go smell one at your local Bath & Body Works store, do it! I bet you’ll purchase one if you love sweet vanilla scents. It truly was delicious.
