First impression of Thai Lemongrass from Swan Creek:
Let’s start off the with the scent description for Thai Lemongrass:
Exotic citrus notes of Bali combined with the aroma of fresh cut lemongrass.
Sounds fresh and perfect. First impression when I smelled the wax, this is not the average lemongrass I’m used to smelling and I wasn’t sure what to think of it. The wax (to my nose) smelled very green, like a plant or herb. It wasn’t fresh at all. High hopes the scent changes once it’s melting because if it doesn’t, I’m probably not going to like it.
Time to find out!
Melting:
Swan Creek drizzle melts are a nice size so one cube per melt session works great for me. In my case, I used two (one cube each) in two electric melters in my great room. Once melting, it took a good 10 minutes before the fragrance was moving through my living space and it pretty much stayed the same as cold sniff… a green kind of plant smell. I didn’t smell any citrus or lemongrass as stated in the scent description. To me, this scent smelled like walking through a garden of plants.
Strength – I would rate this scent an 8 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms.
In closing, I may not have loved this fragrance but as far as plant/green type scents go, it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t my personal cup of tea. Check it out if you ever see this scent when you’re out and about. Who knows what you may think. 🙂
Happy melting!
