I recently used another Yankee Candle votive as a wax melt (Who knew I had bought so many??) – this time Tangerine & Vanilla. This was another scent I wanted to try in melt form before investing in a large jar candle.
I used the entire votive (wick and all) into my 20W hotplate melter in my kitchen. This baby started churning out scent almost immediately! Ohmygoodness, the sweet, tangy tangerine was so incredibly realistic. I got very little of the vanilla in this one – mostly fruity and juicy and sweet.
The scent description from the Yankee Candle website reads:
Ripe and juicy tangerine, sweetened with vanilla and a sprinkle of sugar—fresh as an orchard breeze.
This was a fairly strong scent, too. It completely filled my kitchen area and I could smell it wafting down the hallways. I *think* it would translate well into a large jar, but then again…who knows these days? I loved this scent so much, though, that I’d be willing to give it a try. Loved, loved, loved this one!
Have you tried Tangerine & Vanilla from Yankee Candle? What are your thoughts?
