First impression of Tahitian Coconut: 

Tahitian Coconut wasn’t an impulse buy. The moment I saw it, I purchased one without even reading the scent description. As soon as I smelled the wax… aaaah!! This fragrance was a perfect tropical coconut and I absolutely loved it.

Here is the scent description for Tahitian Coconut:

Fresh coconut, cooling sea spray, tonka bean.

I don’t know what “Cooling sea spray” is supposed to be but it sure smells perfume’y and I was a-okay with that since it wasn’t over the top. Blended with the coconut and vanilla bean, the overall aroma smelled amazing. Fresh coconut stood out the most with a subtle hint of perfume that was light and airy. Coconut lovers… this one smelled really, really good!

Time to light my candle!

I lit my Tahitian Coconut candle in my master bedroom to start out and boy was it a perfect setting. This candle rocked in a large room. Once the wicks were lit, a melt pool formed in no time and the aroma… it kind of changed on me. The perfume notes I thought I smelled on cold sniff morphed into a perfect coconut vanilla. The vanilla was sweet and creamy, the coconut equally so but will add, it sort of had a slight suntan lotion vibe to it. Coconut vanilla ala suntan lotion. That pretty much sums up what this candle smelled like to me.

Strength – this candle was pretty strong. I would rate Tahitian Coconut a 10 out of 10 in any size room. It fragranced my huge bedroom, open bathroom and even traipsed out into my great room. Loved the strength!

How did my Tahitian Coconut candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. YAY!! Wicks lit right up and stayed a consistent size flame from start to finish. At the end, the melted wax was a little sooty but it wasn’t too bad.

Closing to my review: 

Tahitian Coconut was pretty darn good and one I would absolutely purchase again. Bath & Body Works has a coconut vanilla that I’ve tried and didn’t really care for too much. This one was much better and I do recommend it if you love those two fragrances combined. If you try it, post if you smelled that suntan lotion vibe. I’m curious if it was just me. 😊
