Intro To My Easy MeltCup Review
I’ve been loving on my Scenterpiece melter and my Easy MeltCups as a quick, non-messy way to try out a bunch of Yankee Candle scents. On tap today, I have a Sun-Drenched Apricot Rose Easy 
MeltCup review – one of my new favorites from Yankee!
First Impressions of My Easy MeltCup
The Easy MeltCups are about 2.2 ounces of solid wax in round, lidded cups. This particular one had a closeup picture of roses on the label and the wax was a pinkish hue. On cold sniff, I could smell mostly the apricot scent – slightly sweet with a sense of honey notes. Looking at the scent description on the website:

Fragrance Notes:
Top: Sun Drenched Apricot, Nectarine Blossom
Mid: Apricot Roses, Gardenia Petals
Base: Sheer Musk, Soft Powder
I did place this on my Scenterpiece melter in a guest bedroom. These melters are rated at 13W, so it does take a bit for the entire cup to liquefy. I started smelling the goodness of this scent way before then, though! As soon as the wax started to melt, I could smell the sweet scent of apricots followed by some green notes that were divine. Once the wax melted more, I could get the soft scent of roses and it blended so well with the fruity notes. There were some perfumey notes, but not too much. I didn’t get the headiness of gardenia. At least not to my nose. Still, this scent was WONDERFUL!
I could smell this wax melt in the bedroom and on out beyond the doors. I had the door to this particular bedroom closed, and I could still smell the scent escaping down the hall. Lovely!
How Did My Easy MeltCup Perform?
The website states that these MeltCups give off about 24 hours of scent, but I got more mileage out of mine. I was able to keep this one in rotation throughout the week, and it still had plenty of scent when I decided to put it away for good.
Closing To My Easy MeltCup Review
The Sun-Drenched Apricot Rose Easy MeltCup was another good one from Yankee Candle. It’s not too floral and not too perfumey. They hit the mark for me with a good balance of scent notes. This is one I can see trying out in a large candle jar, as I think the scent is strong enough to do well. We shall see!
