Introduction to my Bath & Body Works Summer Boardwalk Scented Candle Review:
Summer Boardwalk from Bath & Body Works was a must have as soon as I read the scent description. This scent is a Slatkin & Co candle and a limited edition from Bath & Body Works so I wanted to hurry and get a review up before you can’t purchase it anymore. How long limited editions are up for grabs, I’m not sure but if you planned on trying this scent, you better purchase one soon.Bath & Body Works has become one of my favorite stores to purchase candles from. I am in LOVE with their candles!! Super unique scents, great burning candles and strong and authentic to boot. What more can a candle lover ask for?
What does my Summer Boardwalk candle look like?
My candle was from their signature 14.5oz candle line. The wax was a creamy white and had 3 perfectly placed wicks. The label on the face of the candle shows a white Ferris wheel with a carnival scene in the background. See picture for visual reference. That is exactly what my candle looked like.
What did my Summer Boardwalk candle from Slatkin & Co smell like?
This candle on cold sniff smelled soooooooooooo sinfully good!! Even before lighting it, I wanted to buy more. I loved every aspect of this scent. Here is the scent description from Bath & Body Works site:
“Like memories of the best summer spent at the beach – caramel-glazed popcorn, warm taffy-apples and salted, sweet cream.”
Oh man, I could smell everything in that description when sniffing this candle. The caramel glazed popcorn, taffy-apples and the sweet cream. All of it… and all three mixed to perfection. It was delicious!! Absolutely perfect and I hadn’t even lit the candle yet. Can you tell I was in love?
Lighting this candle proved to be equally as awesome… I began to notice the scent right away after lighting it. It wasn’t one of those “in your face” scents… it was subtle… almost teasing. I couldn’t figure out if I was smelling more of the glazed popcorn or caramel apples. I swear, it was like holding buttery glazed popcorn in one hand and a caramel apple doused in butter cream in the other. Imagine that. THAT is this scent! Now eating that and smelling it are two different stories… if I ate that, I’d be sick to my stomach from the richness… smelling it on the other hand, heaven!!The strength of this candle was medium… it wasn’t really strong but decent enough the scent surrounded me when I walked into my bedroom. I would close my eyes and savor the aroma… a sweet and creamy caramel apple glazed popcorn medley of yummy-ness. HIGHLY recommend this one!!
How did my Summer Boardwalk candle burn?
Perfect and clean burn. Very little wick maintenance. No wasted wax.
Overall opinion of Summer Boardwalk candle from Bath & Body Works: 
If you love all the sweet treats and confections found at carnivals… you definitely must try this candle. It’s awesome! A sweet and buttery creamy caramel apple gooey goodness that will have your sweet tooth throbbing. I loved it and have already reordered more! Totally my bakery loving cup of tea.
Once again, Bath & Body Works nailed a scent to perfection. I am so beyond impressed with their candles. Summer Boardwalk is everything I envisioned.I’m not sure how long this specific scent will be available so you better hurry if you want one. I have a feeling it’s a summer scent going bye bye in another month or less.Oh and before I forget, if you didn’t already know… Bath & Body Works is having their Semi annual clearance on selected candles going on right now. So now is the time to buy if you were on the fence – you can’t beat 50% off.

I have been a huge candle fan since I was a teenager, and that was about 27 years ago! I have tried many other popular brands and scents, and Summer Boardwalk is the best! They need to keep it in stock year round! Please! Please keep it in your stores most of the year at least!

I absolutely love this candle it is the favorite scent of the whole family. Including my HUSBAND:0 he loved the 1 candle so much that he went to bath and body works and bought 4 more for each room of the house. When I told him they discontinue the sent at the end of the season each year and that it would not be avalible in the fall he went to the store and bought 12 more to stock pile haha. Sadly the last of the candles are almost all used up and it is December. Do you have any other candle suggestions that smell like this one I could buy until they come back out? Please help husband in crisses over this unfortunate happening hahaha.

This is one of my favorite scents too. BBW usually brings in back in the spring and summer so it shouldn’t be too much longer before you’ll see it again. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a substitute for it. I’ve been looking to find one in melt form. No luck yet. 🙁
I love this candle! It has all the smells I remember as a kid walking the Jersey Shore’s boardwalks. Not only that i think it is a great candle to go into the falls months.
Love this scent, the candle is so strong it smells up my house just setting in the candle holder 🙂 everyone that comes in my house loves it and thinks I’m cooking something with caramel,please don’t stop making this scent
