Intro To My Soy Wax Melt Review
Time for another review for Shortie’s Candle Company … this time Sugarplum Cranberry soy wax melts. We’ve been gearing up for the holiday season (early yeah…we know!) and this scent sounded like it would fit the holiday bill. These lovely all-natural wax melts are touted for being 100% phthalate and paraffin free.

First Impressions of My Soy Wax Melt
The Sugarplum Cranberry wax melts are housed in a fallen leaf style clamshell package – so cute and appropriate for fall! The reddish coloring of the soy wax makes us think of sugarplums, as does the cute artwork on the outside label. A full 3.30 ounces of scented wax!
The cold sniff is tart and strong. The smell of cranberries can be too tart at times, but this one has a bit of sweetness that helps keep it from becoming too harsh. The scent description reads:

Yep. On cold sniff, we definitely smelled it all – tart cranberries with sweet, juicy plums, all rolled around in sugar. Yumminess!

How Did My Soy Wax Melt Perform?
I used one piece in a 24W bulb melter in a large, open living space. Sure enough, it did not take long for this sweet/tart mix to start filling the air. Ooooh, the joy! This scent was more sweet than tart – it had the juiciness of sugar dusted plums and the right amount of tart cranberries in the mix. We did have visions of sugarplums dancing in our heads!
The scent pretty much filled that large, open area without any problems. It seemd the cold sniff on these soy wax melts were stronger in the package than when melting. That was true of my Pumpkin Souffle wax melt and with these. The one piece lasted several hours for me before I finally decided to change it out.

The Sugarplum Cranberry soy wax melts are a winner from Shortie’s. A great mix of sweet and tart (leaning more towards the sweet) with a pretty good scent strength and throw. These soy wax melts are long-lasting, making them a really good value. If you’re wanting to get in the holiday spirit and like you some sweet/tart mixes, give these all natural soy wax melts a try.
