What did my candle smell like?
I’ve tried many a strawberry fragrance and would love to find an authentic one but the majority I’ve tried never really “wow” me enough to purchase again.
When I imagine a strawberry fragrance, I imagine a sweet and sugary berry I want to sink my teeth into. A summertime treat that’s refreshing and satisfies my sweet tooth all at the same time. So when I purchased Strawberry Vanilla from Bath & Body Works, I didn’t have too high of expectations.
When I received my candle and smelled it for the first time… oh my goodness! Surprise would be the closest word to explain my reaction. This candle truly smelled like sweet strawberries and cream. Not fake, not synthetic, TOTALLY realistic. I loved it!! In fact, so much, I’ve already purchased a few more to keep on hand.

Oh my goodness candle lovers… if you’ve been searching for a truly authentic strawberries and cream scent, you MUST try this candle!! It truly reminded me of strawberries drenched in whipped cream. YUM!!
Time to light my candle!
I started this candle in my master bedroom where it performed perfectly. Once the wicks were lit, it took not even 10 minutes for the aroma to start traveling through my bedroom. After 30 minutes or so… the fragrance was everywhere. The aroma… a perfect blend of strawberries and vanilla. I keep going back to ripe strawberries drenched in whipped cream. The overall scent smelled like tart and ripe berries with the perfect touch of creamy vanilla. Very balanced. Loved it!!
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle an 8. Not super strong but gave a nice and steady medium throw in a large room. In a medium and smaller rooms, I would say a 10. I was very happy with the strength.
How did my candle burn?
This candle started out great and then at the halfway point, all three wicks started fizzling out. Classic issue with this brand. It was a struggle keeping them lit but I did and it ended up burning okay… you just have to work at it once it reaches halfway down.
Closing to my review:
Strawberry Vanilla was pretty yummy and am glad I purchased a couple more to keep on hand. It’s a perfect fragrance for summer and the best of both worlds… a fruity scent blended with pure sweetness.
Loved this fragrance and highly recommend it to all you berry lovers out there. It really did smell like strawberries drenched in sweet vanilla.
