Introduction to my review:
I’m a lucky girl and unwrapped this gorgeous little tin in my Christmas stocking last month… the fragrance – Spruce Cuttings from Voluspa. Even though Christmas has come and gone, it was too pretty to not review.
If you adore luxury brands and haven’t tried a Voluspa candle yet… you’re missing out. This is one of my favorite luxury brands… their candles are really unique, beyond gorgeous and their scents are one of a kind. They can be on the expensive side but they’re a nice treat and worth every penny.
What did my candle look like?
This was such a fun candle and so pretty. The tin was black with bright reflective and shimmery speckled confetti shapes covering the candle and lid. The lid itself was really cool…. The Voluspa logo was intricately embossed in the center in gold with the scent Spruce Cuttings below it in a metallic reflective font. Very festive and elegant all in one. What did my candle smell like?
First sniff…. this wasn’t just a plain Christmas tree pine… it was bolder and more complex. I could clearly smell the blue spruce but also something more… I almost want to say perfume. I had my daughter smell it and she agreed… the wax had a masculine cologne vibe to it. We both liked it since
it was so different.

“Fresh & crisp woodland cuttings of Royal Colorado Blue Spruce freshly snapped and trimmed for a spectacular fragrant garland.”
Mmmmmm!! Sounds pretty wonderful. Since this was a small tin, I stuck to a small bathroom to test it out. After about 5 minutes, I went back to check on it and oh my goodness…. the fragrance was everywhere and traveling beyond the room. This clearly showed the strength of this fragrance and could have easily moved it to a bigger room. I can just imagine how strong the bigger candle would be so next year, I’m for sure splurging on the bigger version for myself.
Did this fragrance smell like a Christmas tree? Yes but so much more than that. I would walk into the room and the smell of blue spruce was everywhere with added notes of men’s cologne. The overall scent was really fresh and uplifting. I found myself breathing this fragrance in every time I walked into the room in pure appreciation. I even asked my husband (Mr. Pine expert) for his opinion and he agreed… Blue Spruce/Douglas Fir with cologne intertwined. Very unique scent…. I loved it!! Will for sure purchase this candle next year but in a bigger candle.
How did my candle burn?
My tin burned perfect. No wick issues, no wasted wax… clean and even burn.
Closing to my review:
What a great little candle this turned out to be. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can‘t wait to purchase a bigger size. I also think this isn’t just a Christmas scent… it could easily be enjoyed all year long… I know I would. I love a good Christmas tree scent but they tend to bore me after awhile…. Spruce 
Cuttings was really unique and fresh… I was far from bored and sad when the candle reached it’s end.
In closing, I want another one!! LOVED!!!!!!

Where to purchase this candle… I’m not sure where my specific candle was purchased since it was a gift but the site I would recommend would be Candles Off Main – an online store that carries pretty much every luxury candle brand on the market.
