Continuing on our mission to try more indie companies this year, I recently happened upon a wonderful company called Sunday Dinner Candle Co. They have candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers in a variety of scents with names that help us stroll down memory lane. Like the Spades & Lemonade wax melt...ahhhh, I can certainly relate!

Packaging/Presentation
The Spades & Lemonade wax melt was packaged as a typical clamshell style wax melt, with the six scored cubes inside. The label was large across the package, indicating clearly the scent and company name. The wax itself was off white, typical of soy wax.
Authenticity
On cold sniff, I smelled the tartness of lemon buffered by some sweetness of sugar. It was fresh and zippy – just like a tall, cold glass of lemonade!
Smells like you’re standing in a lemon tree orchard. Key Fragrance Notes-Lemon, Sugar, Vanilla, Mandarin
Once I started warming the wax…mmm, mmm, good! The lemonade scent was distinct and delicious – not too tart and not too sweet. I didn’t smell the other notes of vanilla and mandarin – not with my nose at least. Still, this was a refreshingly good scent, and I wanted to keep it going for hours!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I used one of the cubes in a tealight melter in a medium sized room. The scent itself was moderately strong and had no problems filling the space it was in. It stayed pretty well contained in the space it was in, not traveling out or down into the halls.
Melt Performance
My cube lasted in my tealight melter through 2 tealights without a problem. I then shifted and used my Spades & Lemonade wax melt in a 24W hotplate melter, with 2 cubes lasting a couple of days with turning the melter off and on.
Conclusion
I was impressed with my Spades & Lemonade wax melt from Sunday Dinner Candle Co. The scent was refreshing and bright and the throw was enough to keep my room smelling great. I look forward to trying more products from this company soon!
