Introduction to my first Soular Therapy candle review…
I really don’t know a lot about Soular Therapy candles other than the one I bought from ScentsandSprays.com, an online luxury candle store. It’s really easy to shop on this site… they have a huge selection of various luxury brands so you can order a nice variety. I like that. Plus if you spend a certain amount, you get free shipping. Every little bit helps. 🙂
Soular Therapy offers two series of candles that I know of. Astrological aromatherapy candles and their Flare Series which is one of the candles I purchased in the fragrance Mint Mojito. All their candles are soy based using only pure essential oils in all their candles. This is also a popular candle line with a few celebrities including Oprah, Will & Jada Pinkett Smith, and Tracey Ullman just to name a few, so if celebrities endorsing a candle line means something to you, then you may want to try these candles.
What did my Mint Mojito Flare candle look like?
My Mint Mojito candle is a simple 7oz glass tumbler with a silver sticker on the face of the candle that says “Flare” The box the candle came in is really nice. It’s white with a metallic green stripe through the center that reads Mint Mojito. I’m a little confused at the ounces of my candle and what it reads on Scents & Sprays website. The box clearly says 7oz on it but when I go on their website, it shows 10oz. I wanted to let you know that in case you want to purchases this candle. Maybe since I purchased mine, they’ve added 3 ounces which is a better deal than what I bought.
How did my Flare candle smell?
When I first smelled this candle before lighting it, I thought it smelled like spearmint more than anything else. Just from the initial smell test, I liked it. I lit my candle in my bathroom and waited for the scent to fill the room. I would say I started noticing the scent within 10 minutes. It’s a nice soothing fragrance and very pleasant to breathe in. Spearmint definitely dominates and it totally reminded me of a piece of Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum, dead on. The scent description on Scents & Sprays website is:
A refreshing and invigorating cocktail of fresh squeezed lime, cooled with spearmint sprigs and dry white rum.
I couldn’t smell white rum at all. The lime is there but it was very soft, so to me, this candle was all spearmint with a bit of sweetness. Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum all the way. So, for you minty fresh lovers out there who don’t mind spending a pretty penny on a candle’ you may want to give this candle a try.
My candle burned evenly & completely to the bottom with no waste.
Closing to my review:
Overall, I was impressed with my Mint Mojito candle from Soular Therapy. When a candle catches my attention the first time around, I’m usually inclined to go back for more and I think when I do, I’ll stick to their Flare series. The Flare series fragrances seem to be more in line with my personal taste.
I’m not really into the whole astrological thing to venture into that, call me boring. But I will say the whole “Astrological” concept is quite cool and if that’s something that interests you, you can go on Soular Therapy’s website for more info. They go into complete detail on each sign with corresponding color and fragrance for each zodiac sign. I know their astrological line is what launched them into popularity so I may end up trying these for the heck of it, we’ll see.
Happy candle burning!
