What did my Snowflakes & Spruce candle smell like?
Boy have I burned through a ton of holiday scents these past few weeks and here I am burning more. Snowflakes & Spruce smelled wonderful and a welcome reprieve from all the solid Christmas tree scents I’ve been burning lately. Here is the scent description I pulled from the bottom of the candle:
“Kick off the holiday party season with an outdoorsy blend of inspired snowcapped spruce, and sweetened boy a touch of creamy vanilla.”
Smelling the wax… the description seemed backwards, I smelled creamy vanilla as the dominant scent with a touch of spruce. It was really nice and smooth and a great first impression.
I lit this candle in my master bedroom and it took a good 30 minutes for the aroma to really travel through my bedroom. Once it did…. it was nice. The scent… sweet vanilla and pine. My husband liked it too. He came home the first day I burned it asking what scent I was reviewing – also letting me know that he liked it. I asked him what he thought it smelled like and he said *pine* with a masculine vibe. Now that I think about it…. this scent did smell masculine. I went back to smell it up close and agree… the aroma reminded me of a soft masculine aftershave.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7. It wasn’t super strong but gave a nice medium scent throw.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned average. It started great and then half way down, the wicks fizzled out and became really low burning flames. It still burned okay, just very slow.
Closing to my review:
This was a nice fragrance and I liked it but I think my husband liked it more than I did. The vanilla component seemed to disappear once burning and that’s initially what I was looking forward to. I still liked it… it just wasn’t one of my favorites.
