Snowflake Cookie Yankee Scented Candle Review

First impression of Snowflake Cookie:

The moment I popped off the lid to smell this candle, I smiled. I loved it, but then I’m a sucker for anything bakery. The wax smelled like sweet and warm cookies. It was light but still smelled delicious. It’s such a soft and pretty candle too. The wax was a light rose pink with a label showing snowflake sugar cookies with white and pink piped icing. YUM!!

Jump for joy at this new Christmas tradition: perfectly pretty holiday cookies, deliciously decorated with sugary pink icing. The charming confection fills the house with a sweetness you-or your guests-won’t be able to get enough of.

Great description and pretty accurate. This fragrance does smell pretty… delicate too but still sweet and warm. I haven’t even lit this candle yet and I’m loving it. My only worry, Yankee candles are generally lightly scented so I’ll be burning this candle in a small room to get the most bang out of the scent throw. Here I go!!

I lit this candle in a small powder room and just as I suspected, the scent was pretty faint so a smaller room was perfect. Once lit, it took a good hour or more to really start noticing the fragrance and once I did… I smelled a light and sweet sugar cookie. It wasn’t synthetic or fake… just a warm bakery cookie. I liked it. I just wish it would have had a stronger aroma.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 3/4 in a small room. Not strong at all for its size. That was the biggest negative.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned great. It did take hours to reach a full melt pool with each lighting but that’s very common with Yankee candles. The wick stayed true and it burned evenly and clean from beginning to end. Just keep your wick trimmed.

Closing to my review:

I really liked this fragrance… it’s just a bummer it wasn’t very strong. But, it’s the way it goes with this brand I’m afraid. Yankee candles are consistently light for me and I know that going in. The fragrance itself… awesome! It was a sweet and warm cookie that will make you smile every time you get a whiff of it. I would have drooled even more had it given a stronger scent throw.
