What did my candle smell like?
Sicilian Bergamot was a fragrance I was pretty sure I would enjoy. The wax smelled like an exotic perfume… very sensual and romantic and I already couldn’t wait to light it up to see how it burned.
Here is the scent description from Pier 1’s website:
Our master perfumers have blended Italian bergamot, cedarwood, black pepper and creamy vanilla notes into one highly fragranced candle that creates scent-scenes of highs, lows and beauty all through the room.
That sounds wonderful. Smelling the wax, I could pick up on cedarwood and vanilla the most. I wasn’t really detecting bergamot or black pepper but maybe those two will come out once the candle is burning.
Time to find out!
I lit this candle in a small bathroom to start out and oh my goodness was it amazing. The aroma…. a beautiful and delicious exotic bergamot with hints of sweet vanilla and cedarwood. It was so fresh, beautiful and absolutely perfect for a bathroom. Every time I walked by or went into the room, I smiled and took deep breathes of this beautiful fragrance. Highly recommend.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 9 in a small room. 6/7 in a medium size room. My choice, I’d stick to small… you’ll love the strength.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean and even burn from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Pier 1 has done it again with Sicilian Bergamot. Loved this candle and highly recommend it. It was such a fresh aroma and perfect to burn in a small to medium room.
This candle is from Pier 1’s medallion line and not sure if you can even purchase them anymore but if you happen to find one, definitely check this 
fragrance out. I loved it!!

I called Pier One to purchase Sicilian Bergamot candle and was told they do not carry it anymore. Where else can I purchase this fragrance that I really like? The aroma is so soothing and makes my house smell so good.
I love this scent too Beverly. That’s the sad part about finding candles you love… they come and go so fast. I’ll have to think of good alternatives and will post back when I find something close. I would say anything with bergamot and vanilla would be good choices. There are many candles out there with those two components. 🙂
