Brand: Bath & Body Works

Type: 14.5oz large 3 wick candle

Fragrance: Seaside Daze

Scent Strength: Strong

First impression of Seaside Daze:

I think I purchased one of every tropical scent from Bath & Body Works this year to review and boy did they launch some good ones. Seaside Daze smelled slightly floral but sweet enough that I new I would be okay with it. I’m not a fan of floral but I am when it’s blended with other fragrances – preferably, fruity aromas.

Here is the scent description for Seaside Daze:

Sparkling bergamot, orange blossoms, coconut milk.

Now that I read the scent description, it was the coconut milk that drew me in. Anything blended with coconut milk is usually a winner, so I was crossing my fingers this one would prove true as well. Smelling the wax, I detected the orange blossoms right off the bat with coconut milk coming in a close second. I didn’t really smell bergamot but who knows what will come through once the candle is burning.

Let’s find out!

Seaside Candle ReviewI lit my Seaside Daze candle in my master bedroom to start out and boy was a large room a perfect setting for this one. This candle is STRONG!! The wicks lit right up and a melt pool formed pretty quickly… the aroma… orange blossoms all the way. I could smell the creaminess of the coconut milk too, but the floral really drowned it out. Bergamot – not a lick. Not that I could smell anyway. To me, this fragrance was all orange blossoms and although strong, the coconut milk really toned it down enough where it wasn’t overpowering. Thank goodness! After burning this candle a full week, I would call this a sweet floral, like sticking your nose into a bouquet of sweet island flowers. Floral lovers… you will love this one!!

Strength – I would rate Seaside Daze a 10 out of 10 in any size room. This candle was so strong, it fragranced the entire upper level of my home. Not kidding. My bedroom, open bathroom, great room and the aroma of sweet flowers was even trailing down my stairs.

How did my Seaside Daze candle burn?

The first half of this candle, perfect. Starting at the halfway point and on, the dreaded wick issue hit. One wick went out, then two, then three and it was a dancing game getting all three to stay lit. I wish Bath & Bod Works would fix this problem. It’s pretty annoying.

Closing to my review:

Even though Seaside Daze was a sweet floral, I still enjoyed it. The coconut milk was key for me. It added the perfect touch of creaminess to tone down the floral notes. The only negative was how this candle burned. The wicks gave me issues which happens a lot with Bath & Body Works candles. I really wish they would address that.

Next time you’re in a Bath & Body Works store, smell Seaside Daze and see what you think. If you love sweet floral scents, you may really enjoy this one.

Just an FYI – this candle is not listed on Bath & Body Works website right now but I’m pretty sure it can be purchased in stores. This is a new 2019 summer scent and I just purchased it not long ago.
