What did my candle smell like? 

Have you tried Sea Shells from Aromatique yet? I highly recommend it if you love fresh floral scents.

If you’re an avid Candlefind reader, then you know Aromatique is one of my favorite luxury brands. Not only are they gorgeous but their scents are always unique, amazing and strongly scented. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a fragrance I didn’t like or at least appreciate.

Sea Shells was a scent I would normally have never gravitated towards but I couldn’t resist the candle itself. It’s SO pretty!! There are a few styles to choose from but my candle was a lovely teal green with the signature bronze Aromatique emblem on the face of one side. Their candles have such an old world feel to them that I find really attractive.

Here is the scent description for Sea Shells:

Breathe in a Watery, Fruity and Floral Musk Reminiscent of the Ocean.

First impression… the wax smelled beautiful and very much like the description. I detected pretty much every element… sweet fruit, floral, musk and yes, even the watery component which is almost impossible to describe. The overall scent smelled feminine, soft and so pretty. I can totally imagine this fragrance in a soap or body lotion.

Time to find out how this candle performs!

I decided to go big and light this candle in my large master bedroom to start out. Aromatique candles are generally strong for me, even the smaller ones so it was worth a try. Once lit, it didn’t take long to reach a full melt pool with two wicks. Within minutes (I’m not kidding) the aroma from the candle completely engulfed my bedroom and soon took over the entire upper level of my home. WOW!! The aroma wasn’t as strong in other parts of my house as it was in my bedroom but it was definitely noticeable. The fragrance itself was lovely and very hard to describe…. a sweet floral scent that smelled really feminine and fresh. I liked it and I’m not a fan of floral scents.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 10. Hands down.
 

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned perfect. No issues. Clean and even burn from start to finish.

Closing to my review: 

Even though I’m not a fan of floral fragrances, I enjoyed this candle. My husband surprisingly never said a word to me and he usually does when I burn floral candles so I take that as a positive. If he found the aroma offensive, he would have definitely said something. I think what I liked best was the scent throw. Even though this candle was pretty strong, it wasn’t offensive or hard to handle as many floral fragrances can be. Another aspect I loved… this candle was SO pretty to watch burn. Once it reached the halfway point, the teal vessel glowed beautifully from the two flames. My husband even commented how pretty it was to watch burn and he never does that. Score!!

In closing, if you love fresh floral scents, I totally recommend this fragrance from Aromatique. It was different and not your average floral scent. I’d call it summery fresh and very pretty. Highly recommend this one.
