Intro To My Candle Review
There are literally hundreds of candle companies out there. I wish I had time to sample them all! With limited time on my hands, I always love it when a new-to-me company reaches out. Such was the case with Simplistic Candle Shoppe. They offer up organic soy candles and an array of natural body scrubs. It was a joy visiting their website and looking at what they had to offer. I was in serenity mode just browsing the website! 
First Impressions of My Candle
I love status jars for some reason – I can’t really explain why, but I love the look. This particular candle, Sea Salt & Orchid, is part of a seasonal line-up, so it’s not currently avaialable on site. My candle was 8oz in size and they also offer a 12.5oz candle size.
I took a whiff of my candle and instantly fell in love. So fresh and clean! This scent was what I’d consider a gentle floral (as opposed to in-your-face), with a hint of that salty-crispness to it. It was so pretty and relaxing! It had a pretty strong cold sniff, so I was very encouraged about the burn.

Perfect! My nose was heading in the right direction on cold sniff.
I decided to light this candle in a smaller space given the size. I started it in a guest bedroom and left it do it’s magic. I was pleased to see a full wax melt pool in a relatively short period of time. Nice!
What really got me, though, was the scent throw that this little candle started churning out. I was walking past the guest bedroom & thought – Could it be? Yes! It was! This candle was scenting up the bedroom nicely, but it was also spilling on out into the hallway. I was impressed!
The scent itself was just as beautiful on cold sniff. I think once burning, more of that saltiness came out and curbed some of the floral notes. It was still very floral – just not overly so. I got the clean and fresh with a bit of cologne-y ozone once the candle burned some more. I didn’t smell any sweet cream or musk notes – not with my nose anyway. Not that it mattered to me – it was a beautiful, complex scent that was perfect to me.
Scent strength I would rate as 4 with a scent throw of 4.5, and I’m basing that relative to its size. It really did well considering it was an 8oz candle. Sweet!
How Did My Candle Burn?
I did trim my wick prior to burning and had no trouble with the initial burn. Full wax melt pool in a short period of time. The candle burned without black sooting and the wick was easy to maintain – I just trimmed it a little in between burns.
I was able to burn this candle just under 50 hours, so it was right along with the stated burn time. I loved the scent so much that I set it on a warmer to enjoy the last bit of the remaining wax.
Closing To My Candle Review
I loved my introduction to Simplistic Candle Shoppe. I was impressed with the scent throw from a smaller sized candle and the scent was perfect for me. If you like floral scents (but not too floral), this is a good one to try. This candle is in their Summer Collection, so hopefully it will make a come back next year!
