Fragrance: Sea Salt Caramel
Scent Strength: Strong
First impression of Sea Salt Caramel:
Oh my goodness does Sea Salt Caramel smell 100% edible!! Full disclosure… the 17oz candle I purchased and pictured above is no longer available but it is still available through a ton of Wood Wick retailers online so I felt okay continuing with this review.
I love caramel scents so purchasing this fragrance was a piece of cake. The moment I popped off the lid and smelled it…… OMG!! Heaven!! Seriously salty caramel nirvana!! Sweet and salty caramel wafted all around me, teasing me senseless and all I wanted to do was stick my face in this candle and just smell, smell, smell till I got my fill. It smelled THAT amazing!!
Here is the scent description for this scent:
Reminisce on childhood memories of sweet candies with the scents of caramelized sugar and fresh cream sprinkled lightly with sea salts.
That sounds yummy and was pretty accurate to what the wax smelled like. Caramelized sugar, creamy caramel with the perfect touch of sea salt which was clearly pronounced. I loved it. It actually almost reminded me of salted caramel popcorn. Same kind of scent.
Time to light my candle!
I decided on testing this candle in my master bedroom to start out and ended up leaving it there from start to finish. Once lit… it took several hours to reach a full melt pool… this candle was huge and the surface was pretty large. The aroma was subtle but delicious. A sweet and salty caramel that seriously had my mouth watering every time I smelled the air. I don’t usually crave sweets when I burn bakery scents but this candle had me itching to buy real salted caramels. The only negative and this is a minor one… I wish the candle would have been stronger. It scented my bedroom okay but it definitely could have been stronger.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 6 in a large room. An 8 in a medium room and a 10 in a smaller room.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned pretty good. Because this was a big candle with a large surface… it burned pretty slow and at times, I thought it would tunnel but the wicks worked their little tushies off and it ended up burning clean from start to finish. I was happily surprised.
Closing to my review:
I think it’s safe to say I loved Sea Salt Caramel and will for sure purchase it again. If you love sweet and salty fragrances, I highly recommend this one. It smelled pretty authentic down to the salt.
This scent isn’t listed on the new Wood Wick/Yankee page but it is available on many Wood Wick retailer websites. A quick internet search will show you all the companies.
Happy candle hunting!!
