Introduction to my Aromatique Spa Collection candles:

Aromatique has a Spa series of candles I recently was lucky enough to sample. I love these candles and couldn’t wait to light them up in various rooms of my home.

This review centers on 4 of these fragrances. Dogwood Blossoms, Fresh Air, Sunset, Fruit Trees and Serenity.

Dogwood Blossoms Candle

My second Aromatique experience was Dogwood Blossoms Candle from their Spa collection. Like a broken record, I have a tough time burning floral candles. Anything that ends in “blossoms” I tend to stay clear of. I find that floral fragrances are usually too strong and heavy for me and I end of giving them away. Surprisingly, Dogwood Blossoms Candle wasn’t all that bad.

The fragrance is not heavy like I assumed it would be. The scent throw was soft and the fragrance although definitely floral, was light enough that I was able to burn it all day. I can’t say that I loved it and will buy it again, but it wasn’t bad. What does this candle smell like? The best word I can think of to describe the fragrance is “pretty”. It’s the kind of fragrance I picture smelling in a Victorian store with lots of lace and fluff. It’s a light flowery scent that is totally girlie girl to me. For those of you who love floral scents, this one is very light and pleasant, not overpowering at all but soft and in my opinion, utterly feminine.

Aromatique’s Fresh Air Candle

Fresh Air Candle is definitely that, a breath of fresh air. This scent falls under the Clean/Fresh category for sure. I’m having a hard time describing this line of candles to you because the fragrances are not simple or can be broken apart with one scent jumping out at you more than the other. In this case, I’m not sure what makes up this Fresh Air Candle. If I had to choose something, I would say it reminds me of soap or even a mans aftershave.

Once I lit my candle, it didn’t take long before I began to notice the fragrance. When I smell it, it brings to mind opening up your windows on a bright sunny morning with a cool crisp breeze blowing all around you. It’s a very fresh, bright and airy scent. I loved burning this candle best in my bathroom and I kept it there to the very end. For those of you who like soapy fresh/clean smells, I think you would enjoy this candle.

Aromatique’s Sunset Candle

Sunset Candle from Aromatique is a warm and soothing fragrance that I think can be burned anytime of the year. It’s a very nice fragrance that has a musky quality to it. It smelled a little earthy or woodsy to me and it’s not a fragrance I’ve ever burned before. Nothing specific pops out at me but according to the description on Aromatiques website, Sandalwood & Patchouli make up this candle. Scents I’m not really familiar with.

I burned this candle to the very end, from morning to night for roughly 4 days so if I burned it 15 hours a day… that’s 60 hours. That is a very respectable burn time for a 5 oz candle. The scent throw is consistent but seemed light to me so this would be a good candle to burn in a small room or large bathroom. I enjoyed this candle and would recommend it to anyone who likes earthy, natural fragrances and who of course doesn’t mind the $15.00 price tag.

Fruit Trees

Just smelling the candle unlit gave me an idea of how strong this candle would be burning. I Fruit Trees

absolutely love a strong candle, the stronger, the better and this candle definitely fit the bill. I lit my candle early morning in my bedroom and I didn’t have to wait long before I started smelling the fragrance. Usually 30 minutes is the norm for me but not so with this one. I would say I started noticing the fragrance in 10 minutes. That is above respectable.

I can’t tell you exactly what fruit this candle is fragranced from because I’m not really sure myself. It must be a mixture of several fruits, all I know is it’s sweet, fruity and delicious. The scent throw is strong, filling my entire room & bathroom with its fragrance.

Aromatique’s Serenity Candle

When I first smelled Serenity candle from Aromatique, Cinnamon Vanilla was instantly brought to mind. It has that classic creamy vanilla & spicy aroma that just about everybody loves. To me, Cinnamon Vanilla is like Milk & Chocolate or Peanut Butter & Jelly, they were practically made for each other. I like burning this fragrance best in the fall or winter months… it brings such a warm and cozy presence to my home.

I do recommend this candle as it did give a great scent throw and the fragrance was awesome. This line is expensive so keep that in mind. There isn’t really much more to say about this candle other than I liked it and would probably purchase it for that special occasion where I would want to impress someone with my impeccable and expensive taste, LOL. 🙂

Closing to my review:

This concludes my journey with Aromatique’s Spa collection of candles. It was fun and I enjoyed all 5 candles. For little candles, these packed some punch and gave great scent throws.

I love Aromatique and plan on trying more of this company for a long time. Should you see some in an area near you, smell a few. They’re worth the price.
