My mom got me a candle from this company for Christmas. This brand is apparently on Oprah's top 10 list of her favorite things!!! When I heard this, I thought there must be something extremely special about them, because I am sure she can certainly have whatever she wants!!!! I call these "luxury candles" as they are pretty pricey, $32.00 for a 14 ounce candle. But they come in awesome packaging....so great for gifts, especially for candle lovers! I have only tried 2 of their scents, at that price....it will probaly take me awhile to work thru them all!! But I loved them both and the scent throws were strong, strong, strong!!! I am just going to copy the description that the website gives of each candle because there is just noway that I could describe them. Here is what I have tried: French Tulip: "Our French Tulip candle will transport you to Paris in the spring and open air flower markets. This green fresh blend includes jasmine, rose, lemon, clove, sage and rosewood for a complex green note." I can't say that I could pinpoint any one of the scents listed, but all mixed together, it was for me, a very clean, beautiful scent. Lis Blanc: "Find yourself at an unparalleled level of olfactory bliss when lavish floral bouquets meet natural earthiness in our intricately-layered Lis Blanc fragrance. The fresh, aromatic blooms of jasmine, violet, and geranium meet citrusy bergamot, a verdant duo of mint and tea leaves, the clean water smell of marine, and the organic simplicity of rosewood and sweet tobacco for a complex yet perfectly-harmonious blend." Out of the two, I think I liked the French Tulip best. But they were both very good and very unique!

General: .Packaging: I don't really like Seda France candles packaging, but I can see that it's very well designed. .Price: They're not one of the more expensive luxury brands, 30$ for a 10oz is fairly decent. But the 2oz tins are for $10! makes sampling a little hard when they have so many fragrances. Scents: .Sugar Blossom Lime: This is the first scent I tried and it was simply amazing! it's scent strength while unlit overpowered some candles I had actually lit (though that could be an indication of an old sample). Lit though the scent strength is medium to strong. As the name suggests, it's sugary citrus, gorgeous! sadly hard to find. 9/10 .Clementine: Slightly Weaker than the first one, I'd say medium. This was a a straight up citrus scent, mostly orange+lemon. Not as impressive as their Sugar blossom lime, but it's from their classic line and much easier to find. Finding a cheaper similar scent though is easy as well. 6/10 .Kashmiri: this is a woody (amber) yet very sweet smell. I really liked it however the scent strength was not as impressive as the other two, still in the medium strength range. Worth trying because it's a unique scent. 8/10 Overall: .After trying about 3 or 4 "Luxury" brands, I came to the conclusion I'm just paying for fancy packaging until I tried Seda France. Most luxury brands have unique scents but they rarely smell strong. Seda France renewed my interest in Luxury brands even though it is not really that expensive. My only complaint is that 10$ is way too much for a 2oz tin, making sampling their scents too costy. It's also worth mentioning it's an easy brand to find, especially their classic line.

I won't rate just yet. I have just received my second candle. The first one was Francais (10.9oz $24) a tea/floral scented one that I loved the cold smell, but felt the hot throw was a little weak-have to try it again though. I just received the Rhubarb and Anjou Pear(14oz $28)-WOW!! The cold smell is strong and authentic for rhubarb-surprised me! Can't wait to light it and check the hot throw! It is a beautiful magenta color in a beautiful glass with victorian-like (toile) etching-love it !!! ********* Hot throw is alright, kind of disappointing for the amount you spend on these candles-I always said I would never buy the "posh" candles as I call them-never say never. :) I am going right in the middle here. For presentation these candles are beautiful and the cold smell is lovely-they need small rooms to burn in. I purchased both mine from Scents and Sprays.
