Chunky Butt gives away a $10 GC each month to one of its mailing list subscribers. I was lucky enough to win a gift certificate and ended up placing my order earlier this month. I placed my order on Jan. 2nd, and the order shipped on the 3rd. Now that's fast! The melts are very unique...they are in the shapes of butts! The butts are wearing blue jeans with a 'C' on one back pocket and a 'B' on the other. These melts are HUGE...a full 2 oz each. On the website, color is added to the melts to show detail, but they are dye-free and all white. They are 100% soy. Here's what I melted so far (all on a 24W plate burner): Cactus & Sea Salt: This is wonderful! Very fresh and airy, fragranced a room and hallway quite well. A little bit of the saltiness comes through. I would definitely re-order this one. Lime Cilantro: I really liked this for the most part. It had a nice citrusy smell with some deeper background notes I suppose was the 'woodsy' scent they describe on the site. After melting for several hours, though, the deeper notes went away, and I was left with just the lime scent, which began to smell cleanser like. This had a good throw, but I ended up adding another melt to kill some of the citrus scent. Crunch Time: This is described as "buttery sweet crunchy toffee fragrance." Not sure about that...the scent throw was light, and I smelled cinnamon. Jumping Flap Jacks: Moderate throw. Buttery pancake scent. I didn't smell the berries. Nice Buns: Lots of cinnamon here. I would have preferred to smell more bun, but it still was a good scent thrower and the cinnamon was true. Chocolate Covered Cherries: This one was strong and long lasting. Good mixture of chocolate with sweet cherries. I still have a few more of these to melt. Overall, I am pleased and would like to try more scents. I think some are really good and then some are so-so (which you will find with most companies). I would rank this company highest on customer service, fun scent selection, and gift appeal.
