I just started burning a small (no ounce listed) Snickerdoodle and Iced Coffee blend I bought for $1 (or $2) at the local Family Dollar store. For the price, this candle is great! Very strongly scented, it's currently filling up the office as I type. The only drawback is that you must check each candle's wick to make sure it's as centered as possible. I bought my mom a Sage and Citrus blend (same size) and the cold sniff was incredible. I'll ask her opinion of it once she burns the little guy... This review is for the small jars only, not votives or pillars. UPDATE: I'm almost to the bottom of this little bugger and wow, I'm still impressed with the scent strength (for it's size) and definitely the way it's burned. For such a cheap, um-hum, excuse me, inexpensive candle, it has burned very clean & the sides of the jar are basically clear. I'm on my way at lunch to Family Dollar to see what other scents are available... Wish me luck!

I have been buying candles from Family Dollar for months now, as far as the scent and prices go, EXCELLENT!!! They smell great both burning and not, however you do have to make sure that you get a good quality made one, test the wick, I've tugged on a few votive wicks and they have come out completely before and others havn't been placed correctly, there have been some that the wick has been either too small or too large for the candle itself. The prices range from 50 cents clearance to $3 for a large candle. Some of the scents are great, while others hold a perfume smell. However for the price you just can't beat it!
