Ok so I just got my first order from this company yesterday and I must say the first thing that impressed me was the great cold scent the candles had. I am not good with descriptions but I purchased all in the 16oz mason jars - Palm wood & hibiscus - Lemon grass & star anise - Honey - Hunters Moon - Loves Baby Soft - Neroli Yesterday I burned the honey in my kitchen and the throw is wonderful! This is one of the few companies I found that make a honey scented candle and I liked her version very much! I also had Palm wood & hibiscus burning in another room and the scent is devine and the throw is great! This morning I have Loves Baby soft (lovely. lovely) and Lemongrass & star anise (not too sure on this one yet - I'm a real lemon fan and have a very fussy nose) I haven't burned the others yet but like I said the cold throw is very impressive. I will be a return customer for sure. Ann has great customer service, fast shipping and she even threw in a free flower air freshner. Overall great company and product!

I found Pine Point Candles after searching around this site, and saw the great reviews, and the high numbers. When I went to the site, I felt it was very user friendly. I was absolutely sold, when I found my favorite scent listed, Christmas Wreath. I decided to order only tarts, so I could try many smells, and not spend alot. I chose white tea, caramelicious, honey spa and ginger, Christmas Kitchen, Christmas Wreath, Coast Soap, and Hummer Adventure. Even before the box was opened after arriving, I could smell wonderful things. I first tried the Hummer, a mens cologne duplication, it was long lasting, and very true to its name. I had to get my favorite in next, the Christmas Wreath, which I was very curious, and most hopeful that it was indeed like Yankee's- and it was. yeah!!!!! I was convinced never to buy Yankee again- I would save money and get that same scent here. The Christmas Kitchen was a spicy warm snuggly scent, and was my children's favorite Honey Spa Ginger has a very exotic but sweet smell, it was strong, but I'm not positive its for me. I loved the white tea, and my new year round favorite will be Coast Soap. Its clean, true to its name, and strong. Thank-you for providing this board, and helping me to find this hidden gem.

I thought I would check this company out to see the cute embeds that were spoken about. Also the site was too fun to shop thru. I ordered Mac. Apple, great scent, and the Blueberry I am melting right now and it is super powerful. Love it. I also ordered Cinnamon and I love the cold scent, very impressive. Will burn that one later. They are really cute tarts. I plan on giving some as gifts, they are that fun :) I would recommend this company, Ann is very nice and helpful also.

The owner/candlemaker really cares about her product and customer satisfaction. I have palm wood and hibiscus going on in one room and cinnamon crunch in another, and wow, I can smell them, only had them going for a few minutes too. I love the palmwood/hibiscus (my new scent?) I also ordered 2 sachets, very happy with all the products.

Wow!!! Have I found my new candle company. The pillars I ordered were just gorgeous, they make the chunky pillars with the colors that peek through as the candle is burning- I will be ordering from PPC for Christmas gifts. The scents I tried were Chamomile- clean, fresh, strong English Daisies and white birch- if you like florals, this is the one for you. Issey Miyake- an exact dupe of the famous designer perfume Love's Baby Soft- a trip down memory lane! Wild Mint and Ivy- WOW_ this one is just fantastic, strong, clean, exhilirating. With the discount I found on here for Pine Point Candles, I feel I got a great deal, and I will go to the ends of the earth for a great smelling candle!

I received a red pottery candle from a friend as a birthday gift. The scent was chocolate kisses. This had a very strong smell. Everyone in my home commented on what was cooking in the kitchen. I went to the website, after finding their name on the lable. The site was easy to navigate, and they had lots of unique scent choices. I ordered 3 more red pottery candles, in chocolate kisses, neroli, and Irish Spring soap. I also tried their body sprays, in Irish spring, and Coast soap. After trying the sprays and burning a bit of each of the candles, this is a great company! The Neroli is extremely strong, and fills my home, a different orange, I love it! I am hooked, and have just ordered more candles- a few for myself, and a couple for gifts.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering a small, charming candle-maker, Pine Point Candles, based in Lincoln, Maine. The Pine Point website is inviting, well organized. The owner, Ann Forsing, has always been quick to respond to any product inquiries I've had, and all of my orders are shipped promptly and securely. Based on my experience so far, the customer service at PPC is excellent! I've been very happy with everything I've ordered. All of the candles/products at PPC are handmade. Each item in your order will be made fresh "from scratch" and is created just for you! Everything is of the highest quality and made with great care. Great stuff, this! I'm just beginning to work through PPC's list of 71 scents. Here are the first few scents that I've tried, and have loved! My current, and probably permanent choice for linen spray, is Vanilla Bean Noel. I've had pillar candles, candles in large/small tins, candles in homey earthenware pots, and also car fresheners (love the crescent moons!), all in the following scents: Twigs and Berries - A clean, pleasing scent. Slightly fruity, with a hint of spice and earth. Mountainside Inn - Delightfully spicy, with hints of fruit and fir tree. A very soothing scent! Celtic Moonspice - Rich in spices, a warm, refreshing scent. In a word, cozy! Vanilla Bean Noel - The name says it all. Luscious vanilla with a hint of sweet caramel. Mmm! The scents in all the candles, car fresheners and linen sprays I've tried are very strong. Needless to say, my house, car and linens smell absolutely yummy! With the number of scents to choose from, I'm sure I'll find many favorites, and I plan to be regular customer of Pine Point Candles for a long time! Clive Sweeney

Although I just received my first order, this company has impressed me already! This package arrived in just four days, which is unbelievable! Since the website has such a "homey/rustic" feel to it, I was expecting it to take a little while, so I am really surprised. I found them while "shopping" Candlefind, looking for more amber type scents. They have tarts in a scent called Amber Dawn, and the prices were great, so I ordered it, along with Hippie Incense, Nag Champa, Green Leaves, Awapuhi Seaberry and Ylang and Amber. They also sent Palm Wood and Hibiscus and Asian Sandlewood, as freebies. The cold smell on all these scents is wonderful! I definitely chose outside my norm for this one, but I am curious about these earthy scents and am ready for a break from fruity/fresh/clean since I've been doing them so much. They had a good selection, with lots of varieties I haven't seen before, so there's plenty to choose from. I've just started the Amber Dawn and already am enjoying it- I will update further on the throw of these as I make my way through them, but I am very happy so far! **Update** Love them all! These tarts actually last up to 24 hours and beyond, depending on your warmer and the scents are terrific - I will be ordering from here again!

I love this place. They have some really interesting scents and I was glad to try them. I got tarts in Love's Baby Soft (love that scent!), Gee your hair smells terriffic (remember that one?) and English daisies and white birch. All the scents are true to the descriptions and are great throwers. My order arrived quickly and well packed. Customer service is A+.

I ordered muffin tart packs in Med.Fig,wild mint and ivy, Bobbie Brown Beach, summer breeze, neroli and Island kola nut. These have the cutest embeds in them! Clothes pins, seashells, orange slices, butterflies and fruit slices. Too cute. On cold sniff, these are very strong. Everything came packed very well and included were samples of creme de creme, green grass and c innamon buns. Can't wait to burn these. UPDATE: I have had a chance to burn these and although these aren't the strongest tarts I've ever burned, the scents are very nice and pretty true. The bobbie brown beach is spot on and the neroli is eye burning strong. The wild ivy and mint is my favorite so far. I am letting the others cure a bit to see if that helps. Will def order them again though. Nice tarts and a great price.

I ordered tarts in Gee your hair smells terrific, grandma's pumpkin bread and blueberry muffin. The prices were great at 5 for $2.90. They all have a strong cold smell. I'm not sure about the Gee, your hair smells terrific...I wasn't sure what it was supposed to smell like so maybe my nose just isn't sure. I will have to update on the hot smell. The blueberry muffin is pretty strong and has cute little blueberries stuck on the top. I burned the Grandma's pumpkin bread and it was very pleasant and scented my kitchen and into my living room pretty easily. Although these aren't the strongest tarts I've burned, the presentation was very nice and they are a good value for the price. *Update* I am burning the blueberry muffin, strong and sweet, really nice.

I finally tried Pine Point tarts and am loving them! I bought a large assortment of scents and so far, I love every one I've tried. My favorite so far is Issey Miyake which is one of my all time favorite perfumes. They nailed this one pretty good. Customer service is great and shipping pretty quick. I'm hooked and will continue to shop here.

I must start again in saying, that I am probably a more critical candle buyer than most...so some items that I choose to critique may seem silly to some, and not so much of a big deal. I ordered my candles on April 22, and received them on April 26, so the time for delivery was acceptable. The shipping was 10.95, which I guess was fair, but what I tend to prefer is a flat rate shipping, or a carrier that is cheaper that USPS for weight. Their shipping is based on the dollar amount you spend, and to be honest, I think something subconsciously in me is willing to spend more if I think I can cram more in a box! Silly, I know, but if shipping is stairstepped based on what I spend, I may not buy an additional candle if it's going to raise my shipping. I think their shipping maxes out at 50.01, and the pricing for this is 11.95. Above this amount, no shipping is listed, so maybe this is their flat rate? Moving forward- I did not have any issues that I had to bring to the owner's attention, so I cannot accurately comment on the customer service either way. They came packed fine, and all were intact. Here are the fragrances I purchased: (1) 10 oz. jar Orange Chiffon Cake- 9.50- This is a neutral, pleasing fragrance. I need to warn that the cold scent on these candles is weak, so initially I was afraid this would be the case after they were lit. Thank goodness it was not the case. The orange fragrance is there, but not overpowering, yet strong. It is a comfort food/homey/bakery scent, and I at first burn each candle seperately in a room with the door closed, (of course this IS while I am home!), and then if there are fragrances that I think will compliment each other, I burn them together. This burns very nicely with the Creme de la Creme. This scent makes me feel all cozy, and oddly enough, I put the two together in my bedroom, instead of a kitchen. I would repurchase this scent. (1) 10 oz. jar Creme de la Creme- 9.50- Also very nice...it is also a comfort/gourmand fragrance type. My husband, who does not say a whole lot about my candles, did comment on this one. He tends to like more neutral fragrances that you can smell vanilla in, and he commented that it smelled nice, so I put it in his office. I would repurchase this one as well. (1) 10 oz. jar Coast Soap fragrance- 9.50- This is definitely spot on. It is a very clean fragrance, and I placed it in my 17 year old's bathroom for those after- football- practice- smell. I lit it, and again, closed his bathroom door, and let it burn the full melt pool, and blew it out about 20 minutes before he arrived home from school, and he asked me.. "Did someone take a shower in my bathroom?" I told him it was the Coast candle. Usually he throws candles, wallflowers, etc, out of his room if they are too flowery, but he kept this one up there. I would repurchase this one as well, if for nothing else, to help with that sweaty smell! These candles in this size are double wicked, so they do burn a full melt pool, but there's something about the wicks that seem...I dunno..puny? They are very small, and when I burned the candle long enough to get a full melt pool, the wicks flaked in the melt pool. They don't mushroom, or self trim, they just kinda flake off. I found myself constantly picking the pieces out of the melt pool. Also, on one of the candles, the double wicks were not centered, and the one's flame that was closest to the edge of the jar blackened the jar's edge pretty good. Candle buying experiences are based on different things for people: some do it for the ambience of light when lit in the container (which I must say casts a nice glow in the frosted jar), and don't care too much about fragrance or what the wicks and wax look like. I am about the whole experience, and there is something satisfying about the whole candle to me...the fragrance- yes- FOR SURE...I love strong fragrances with a great throw, but I also like the look of a nice creamy wax and nice jar. I believe the wax to be paraffin or a mix...it did not look like an all soy, soft wax. Also, when I moved this burning candle just the slightest little bit, it gave off alot of black smoke, which leads me to think I am going to have to keep this out of drafts, even the slightest drafts. I haven't had my other candles give off this much smoke when I moved them, and I was carrying them slowly. I would probably re-purchase, just to try out a different jar with different wicks, and I forgot to mention my free 4 oz. candle through candlefind on this past order, so I will update any new styles/fragrances that I try. My overall experience would be rated between an 8-9.

I ordered the Designer Fragance Muffin Tart Combo and really loved the tarts... The scents are good and strong (loved the Beach Bobbi Brown) but in my case, the shipping was very expensive. I have to have candles shipped via UPS or FedEx to my work address, otherwise the postal service will leave it on my front porch to bask (meaning melt!) in the hot afternoon sun. We don't have a mailbox at work, only a small po box, so most orders won't fit. Long story but to ship a 1 lb. box from her to me in South Georgia cost $10 and some change! Ouch... But great tarts nonetheless... Wish it weren't so - I would love to order at least once more just to try the "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific scent"!
