PartyLite

PartyLite provides scented candles in a variety of candle styles and sizes. Partylite is a very well known candle company for offering Candle Consultant/Hostess opportunities. Have you ever been to a Partylite show?

I've never had a bad experience with any PartyLite candle or accessory. Each catalog has numerous scents, colors and accents to please any decor or taste. The pricing is average for what you're getting and they offer a very good hostess plan. The company has excellent customer service and warranties the products including the candles. The candles burn slow and cool to the touch. I find the throw to be appropriate,(considering that you shouldn't expect a single candle to throw it's scent into more than one average room.) After many years and burning candles from many different brands and sources, PartyLite is still my top pick and amazingly, my husband's also. I also love that I can now order online through my rep's site and not have to wait to go to a party to replenish my stock.

I had heard so much about PartyLite candles that I went online to find a rep so I could host a party. The rep was very courteous and knowledgeable, however, my party turn-out was pitiful to say the least. Anyway, I was first impressed by the fact that they burn all the way down and there's little or no waste to the wax. The scents (she had about 10 different votives and tealights burning)smelled heavenly so I had no problem shelling out the money for several candles. It took about 2 weeks to recieve them, all packaged well and again, smelling wonderful. BUT (isn't there always one of those?), last night was the first time I really lit lots of the candles and to say that I've changed my view is putting it lightly. I kept lighting more votives to see if I would notice a smell, and then, it hit me - a headache and queasy feeling in my stomach. I thought that perhaps I was imagining things or just maybe I was starting to fall ill. But then I blew out the candles and almost immediately began to feel better. Coincidence? That was my first thought until I lit a Rice Milk & Honey jar at work several days later - yuck and double yuck! My mom's having a party tomorrow (the result of my party!) and I'll stick to tealights. At least then I can light just one small one and hopefully not get queasy! I've placed an order for some candles through Pure Integrity so once I receive those, I'll post my thoughts... Until then, keep those home fires burning! (The little ones in votives, that is!)

I went to my neighbors for the long awaited Candle party...however, I was not as impressed as I would have liked...These Partylite Candles were pretty, however they were a bit pricy to me and the fragrance was not as strong as I like and seem to find with the smaller makers. I tried 2 of the bestburn jars they have, 1 in mulberry and one in ocean. The fragrances were really good, just on the light side. My jars are burning weird however and I can not get the wax to burn to the edge no matter what I do! Arrgh...slightly dissapointed...will post more when I burn my Mohito votives, holding out hope! :-)

I would reccommend the candle decor and holders, but only if someone wanted to host a party so they could get them at a discount or free. Full priced items are way too much in my opinion. Also you can't buy them online so you have to hunt for someone to buy from. Then it takes too long to get and like I said, they are too pricy if you are paying full price. From reading their catalog, I see they do offer generous hostess rewards, but I'd feel guilty having friends/family buying at full price so I can get them cheaper!

Beautiful candle decor, but extremely overpriced. Candles themselves are nice but smells don't necessary fill the room. I've bought (and got free as hostess) mostly decor items and tealights and votives. The prices of their votives and tealights are in the same price range as some of the other high quality candle companies. I can burn 8 tealights at one time in one of their decor items and still can only smell them if I'm close to them. My candles came from an independent distributor and they must be ordered and it takes a while to get them (usually 2-3 weeks). They offer a nice party plan to hostesses but to buy them, I think they are a bit overpriced. They appear to be a parafin type and burn well. While they aren't my favorite, they might be yours.

I have to give a thumbs up on the pretty candle holders, I got several by hosting a party- the only way I could afford them, they are way so expensive- The only way the candle even smells good is if you leave them in the box and don't burn them, othr than that I can't smell a thing. I have a huge 3 wick that my mom bought me for x-mas, as decoration- not into hugging a candle or for the 1st burn up to 6 hrs to get it going right, I have plenty to do not wait to get a cndle going right- anyways besides the 3 wick I got - I mainly bought the holders and tealights and voltives, the only ones I can afford.

The candles are nice but they are not very strong. I have had these soot as well. I do like the products but agree, they are very overpriced and I do not like having to do a show or find someone who is placing an order to get these. I do enjoy the tealights although they do not last as long as others. I think the tealights are the best out of all of them.

I have been to several Party Lite parties and my sister in law used to sell them, so I felt obligated to order occasionally. The candles are attractive and have a very nice scent when they are cold. As long as I keep the wicks trimmed, they don't produce much soot and they burn pretty evenly. They also seem to burn for a long time. The scent when the candles are lit is very light on most of them and not really noticeable unless you are right on the candle. I keep a couple in my living room that I can smell more when they are not lit than I can when they are burning. They are very expensive also. I do love the accessories and bought several through my sister in law. It also seems that they discontinue scents semi-regularly like some of the bath and body product retailers. This is a big con for me because once I find a scent I like I tend to stick with it. As others have stated, if you want the accessories, host a party and get a discount. The accessories I have are well made and very pretty. Otherwise, there are candles that have much better scent throw for considerably less money. Overall, I don't find the products worth the price.

I have been to many partylite shows. I always get excited and order something based on the scent samples, and I am disappointed almost every time. The candles are pricey and have very little throw. Some scents you can't smell even if you're right on top of them while they are burning.

Throughout the years numerous of my friends have tried their hand at Partylite as Consultants and Hostesses, so I have been invited to numerous of their parties. And have at one point or another tried numerous of their products, forms and scents of candles. Candles are overpriced for their burn-time. Paraffin wax. Accessories are exceptionally overpriced. Scent throw is so-so at best. Better brands out there for the money. Their holders and accessories are attractive. However, not enough to justify their price. I also like the look of the liquefied votives. Not enough to make me a Partylite convert tho. The one product I did really like (however cringed at the price) was the Aroma Simmers (liquid potpourri for tealight or electric burners) in Hydrangea. This was the only product that really had a scent throw to speak of.

I'm rewriting my review after attending a Partylite open house a few months ago and giving the candles another go. My first rating was a 2. I haven't upped that by much, but there are a couple positives to add to the negatives. I do believe the decorative items are extremely overpriced. The candle holders, tart melters and other glass and metal pieces you can find at other stores like Target or Pier 1 Imports for much, much cheaper. I do not buy Partylite jar candles, known as "bestburn jars". They are not strong, and when I burn a jar candle, I want it to be killer strong. I do however really like the votives. They are well priced at a dozen for $12, and often my rep will knock the price down to $10 or even $5 if the scent is being discontinued. The votives are nice because they liquefy quickly, causing a nice sparkle as they are burning. They burn evenly and if I trim up the wicks really short at first they don't get out of control. I can get decent scent throw with one votive in a small bathroom, or two votives in my bedroom, or 3-4 lined up nicely on the fireplace mantle in the large family room. If your space is large, you will definitely need at least a few going all at once. So I'll keep buying the votives, but I stay away from everything else! My favorite scents are mango mandarin, pineapple pomegranate and fresh green apple.

For Christmas , I recieved a dozen assorted votives. The smell on all was weak. I tried burning 3-4 with no scent at all. I ended up thinking putting them in my tart burner- thinking it would make a difference. Still nothing. Overall, I don't have alot to go on with companies, except for the 12 votives. I would hope that all products would be good, not just some of them,. I certainly cannot reccomend their votives!

I have bought the Party-Lite candles a few times, when i was invited to parties. I absolutely can not smell them when they are burned. The jars aren't quite as bad as the votives, but the votives have NO scent.

Not a fan anymore. I will be honest there was a time that I purchased the votives a lot but that was because I was being invited to a lot of the parties and did not want to spend a lot on stuff. They are not a bad company and I like that the votives completely melt and disappear but the scent throw is disappointing.

My dear friend hosted a party, and I went - ordered a few candles, and might as well of thrown my money away. After the first 15 minutes there is no smell, like they spray on a perfume on the top- just to intice the buyer! Very very disapointed in this candle.

I went to a PartyLite Party recently, and the candles were very expensive for what you get. The scent throw was horrible, and the candles are quite messy. I would not recommend these candles to anyone.
