"The Best Color, The Best Scent, The Best Burn."
http://www.ourowncandlecompany.com/

I FOUND THESE CANDLES AT A LOCAL SCHOOL FUNCTION. I AM USUALLY HESITANT AT TRYING NEW CANDLES BECAUSE A LOT OF TIMES - THEY JUST DONT SMELL UNLESS YOU ARE RIGHT ON TOP OF THEM. I AM THRILLED THAT I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE CANDLES THAT DAY. I HAVE SINCE ORDERED MORE FROM THEIR WEBSITE. MY FAVORITE IS THE BANANA NUT BREAD. THIS IS THE ONLY CANDLE COMPANY THAT THIS SCENT SMELLS RIGHT ON THE MONEY! EVERYONE THAT WALKS INTO MY HOME - ASKS WHERE I GOT MY CANDLES FROM. ANYWAY - I'VE ALSO TRIED THEIR HOT APPLE PIE, ROOTBEER FLOAT, CINNAMON, LEMON POUNDCAKE, ALMOND BISCOTTI, ETC, ETC. THEY ARE ALL GREAT! I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND NO REVIEWS ON THIS CANDLE COMPANY ON THIS WEBSITE ... YET ... UNTIL NOW. I BUY THEIR LARGEST MASON JARS WHICH BURN GREAT! I ALSO USE THEIR SMALL TINY MASON JARS FOR ROOMS LIKE THE BATHROOM! YOU WOULDN'T THINK A CANDLE THAT SMALL WOULD SMELL SO GOOD! THEIR PRICES ARE ALSO VERY GOOD. $6.00 FOR THE LARGE MASON AND $3.00 FOR THE SMALL. SHIPPING IS FREE IF YOU ORDER OVER $72.00 WORTH - AND THAT IS SO EASY THIS TIME OF YEAR! I LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING TO THIS SITE IN THE FUTURE TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE TRY THIS CANDLE COMPANY & LOVE IT !!

Let's talk about these candles...for starters not only do they burn evenly down and without any black soot....they smell AMAZING!!!! Their price cannot be beat. $6.00 for a 100 hour burning candle that is plenty a bang for your buck. They are coming out with some funny names for them as well. For x-mas this year, my mom and I got all the guys in the family, the "Smell My Nuts" candle (a triple layered candle of banana nut bread, toasted coconut, and hazlenut) as well as the "Mmm, Nice Melons" (which is a triple layered candle of summer melon, honeydew, and watermelon). I found it really funny but then again I can be easily amused. I have the Smell My Nuts candle burning now and it is very fragrant. All day long people have been telling me it smells like a giant pie is baking in my apartment. I love it when people say that:o)

I have gotten 3 of the handled jars. Hazelnut, Sage and Citrus, and Snickerdoodle. Wow!!!Good throw and they burned clean with no wax left. I also found that I needed to do little wick trimming while they were burning. I also love the colors and they look so pretty when burning. Sage and Citrus from Yankee is one of my all time favorite scents and I tend to measure other companies based on how their version compares. This one is a twin and the scent is there to the end. I will be buying more. Not because of the price, but because of the quality.

I Love these candles. I purchase them at a nearby craft shop, and have tried several of the scents. The Banana Nut Bread and French Toast are two of my favs. The Buttercream is also really nice. They are very affordable, the they burn really nice. The jars are in a handled mug, and they sell for 6.99 each at the gift shop in my town. If you haven't tried them, give them a try. They are really nice :)

Based upon these reviews, I went to the website to check them out. They carry electric tartburners at great prices and my best friend needed another one, so I decided to place an order. Although the scents are pretty basic, I still like to read descriptions because it helps me choose, so I would definitely suggest they add this at some point. Anyway, I ordered Apple Pie, The Beach, Banana Nut Bread, Lemon Poundcake, Triple Melon, Mixed Berries, Tropical Paradise and Summer Vacation, as well as the tartburner. The order arrived yesterday, well packaged and quite timely and all the candles seem to smell fairly authentic. I started burning the Banana Nut Bread and Summer Vacation, to test them, and they burn nicely and have a decent throw. At $6.00 per 13 oz/100 hour candle, these are a terrific buy, although I don't love the handled jar (not my taste). While these are not a "luxury" candle, they do a good job and you really can't go wrong for the price and quality. I will definitely keep these on hand! **UPDATE** Still burning these candles, every night, and they are lasting a long time. The throw is moderate, low soot, a slight bit of tunnelling, but I am still happy with these and will certainly buy them again.

One word...amazed! I have seen these candles at school functions and craft stores but never bought one because I thought they would be junk. Finally, one day at a Marshalls I saw a 13oz. in BANANA SPLIT scent for $4.99. How could I pass that up? I purchased it and did not expect much. Amazingly, the first layer of COCONUT BANANA filled my kitchen and it smelled wonderful! The next layer was STRAWBERRY CREAM and it was also throwing pretty well. Haven't gotten to the FRENCH VANILLA layer yet but I am hooked. This candle burns so clean with no soot (I trim the wick when it looks like it needs it) and it throws enough to fill the room its in. The scent has no odd notes that I detect. At under $5 a candle I will be getting some more of these. Happily surprised! ;)

Garden Ridge had several of these candles; $3 bought the large mason jar, $1 was the cost of the mini masons. I bought one each of the Ginger Peach and French Vanilla in large mason jars. The scent doesn't smell fake, imho, and I am not a big fan of food scents because I like real scents. Both candles had clean burn and good throw. I plan to use the masons with handles as drinking glasses when they are done. They are plain and practical. Garden Ridge had more choices I did not buy, Macintosh, Mulled Cider, triple layered Apple Pie, and they had Lemon Pound Cake in the mini masons. At $3 and $1 I think they are a great deal. I liked them so much I went back and bought Lemon Pound Cake, Cinnamon, Apple Pie and Mulled Cider. Lemon Pound Cake in the mini has a lovely scent, though not much throw. I'm thinking if the room is much of a size, one would need a larger size candle.

I love, love, love their lemon poundcake candle! The Lavender was too weak for my taste but mostly all their other scents I have tried so far have a great scent/throw. Their vanilla is also very yummy as is green tea to name but a few. I will order from this company again. On the other hand the candles don't burn as clean as some other candle companies I have tried (and no worse than some of the big name brands I might add)however, I feel this comany gives you one of the best "bang for the buck" deals around. :>)

I picked up a mug jar at Marshall's in french vanilla. I wasn't expecting much, but it's throwing well with a true scent, and it's burning cleanly!

I decided to try these out because of the great reviews on here. I went to the website and couldn't believe how cheap the prices were, so I decided to order a few. I selected some teasers and tarts which are only $1-$2 each. My total order at that time was only $10 until I hit on the shipping charges. The minimum shipping charge is $8 for orders $25 and under...YIKES! I was almost ready to quit right there but since they got such good reviews I decided to "go for it" and order up to the minimum amount of the shipping charge. After all, the products themselves were very inexpensive, right? I had a tracking number in my email the next day and the box arrived two days later. Not bad. Everything was very well packed in bubble wrap and nothing was damaged. I love the cute little mini mason jars and the Teaser cups. The labels remove easily if you like to take them off. I always burn scented votives in my bathroom so it was the perfect place to try a Teaser. I lit one and after the wax melted across the entire top I went back in. I could barely smell anything leaning over the top of the candle, so I blew it out and let it harden back up. I tried another one with the same outcome. Now, I know my nose isn't as sensitive as some, so after the wax hardened up I removed it from the little cup and put half of it in my tart burner. Success! I could finally smell the scent but it really didn't last more than an hour. This brand just doesn't seem to be as strongly scented as I'm used to. I'll pass the mini masons onto friends and see how they like them. The whole ordering process was perfect and they'd make nice little samplers for stuffing into an assortment of goodies in a gift bag. 10/19 - I decided to give it one more go with a mini mason in the bathroom this time. I let it burn for over two hours. The wax melted evenly across into a nice little pool. The throw was light and I could detect a faint (sugary?) smell. I got a second opinion when a friend stopped over. He said it smelled like a weak vanilla. So it wasn't just me! I guess I expected something fantastic with all the great reviews these got. My final thought is that they're cheap for a reason and quite honestly I wouldn't recommend them. I'd like to note that this particular bathroom is tiny (3'x5') and even on a Yankee votive's worst day there's more fragrance wafting throughtout the room and into the hallway.
