My-oh-my...I don't even know where to start. Firstly, every single person I've exposed to this candle company has become absolutely addicted to them. Yeah, they're that good. Before I seem like a total nut, you must know that I'm very very picky and I am dreadfully honest. I love everything about this candle company, even though they're much more expensive than most,it is worth every little penny. Their candles got me and my fiance through undergrad and law school...seriously. Without their candles, I would have had such a problem relaxing and then by extension- I would have driven him stark raving mad. I've never had a bad fragrance experience with this company. Even with fragrances I wasn't even sure I'd like- I ended up loving them. They are very unique scents with different throws. I have some Pacifica candles that will fill my bath only and some that will fill the entire apartment. It depends on the size and which fragrance. I also prefer the soy jar candles although I do own several of their beautiful mottled pillar candles as well. Their pillars are made of high grade parafin wax which is clean burning as well. **Fragrance Recommendations**: Pacific Red Ginger-Herb Category French Lilac- Floral Category Mandarin Lime-Fruit Category Brazilian Mango Grapefruit- Fruit Category Indochine-Fruit Category Kashmir-Woods and Resins Category Mexican Cocoa-Spice Category

OMG what can i say these candles are the best!!! I am always on the Pacifica candles website because although they are a bit expensive, they always have discounts on certain scents. This time it was on Blue Chamomile...I HAD to buy it! As soon as I opened the box I immediately smelled the relaxing, calming scent of the chamomile, I didn't know a candle can relax you that much, and being a college student, it was very much needed with all the stress and work. This candle also has an amazing scent throw, the moment I lit the candle I was already smelling its great relaxing aromatherapy scent. I definitely recommend this candle for anyone who wants to inhale this soothing, relaxing scent! This is my second review on these great candles, I just love them...so heres my story lol: I was going to wholefoods to pick up some aromatherapy soy candles that I read great reviews on, unfortunately they ended up not having them,BUT instead I came across Pacifica candles, I was so excited because now I was able to test all the scents out, which was a good thing since I probably wouldn't have ordered these scents online. I bought bergamont amber rose, and Brazilian mango grapefruit! These smell soooo good! Bergamont amber rose, has such a romantic smell, if that makes any sense, and Brazilian mango grapefruit is a tangy mix of tropical fruits that makes my mouth water! The best part was that I bought the 3oz. candles and both fragrances perfectly scented my whole bedroom! I definitely recommend these candles to everyone!

I just wanted to say how much I LOVE pacifica candles. I have been burning them for about two months and I can honestly say that they are some of the best candles I have ever burned. Their fragrances are so exquisite. They also burn for long periods of time. Much longer than other candles. You can actually get close to 50 hours of burn with the 5.5 oz candle. Because of the burn times, I really think that they are a good value price wise. Some of my favorites are- 1. Hawaiian Ruby Guava - strong throw. So beautiful and tropical. 2. Mexican Cocoa - My absolute favorite. I could smell this everyday and never tire of it. 3. Tahitian Gardenia- If you like florals, Pacifica makes the best florals. They only use essential oils and no synthetic fragrances. The florals smell true. 4. Nerola Orange Blossom - Love, Love, Love. This is great to burn with the Tuscan Blood Orange. 5. Tuscan Blood Orange - The sweetest smelling orange fragrance. It is heaven. 6. Thai Lemongrass - Very fresh, very unusual lemon scent. 7. Mediterranean Fig - This is another favorite. Hard to describe. Delicious. Their fragrances are not as strong as others, so it is always better to get the 5.5 oz soy jar.

I just received a Mexican Cocoa candle as a gift from a friend at work, and it is delicious! I loved how evenly it burned, and I will definitely be coming back for another one when this candle is gone! Excellent scent!!!!!

I am currently on a coconut craze, and when I read the description of the Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava candle, I had to try it! It describes "the coconut smell of surfboard wax", among other tropical flavors in the scent. Not only did I buy the 10.5 oz. jar candle, I bought the body butter, too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent! The throw is not huge, but it seems the more I burn this candle, the stronger the scent. It has a tropical citrus smell with these wonderful coconut undertones. The body butter smells exactly like the candle! When I first smelled it in the container, I thought it might be kind of strong, but not so after I put some on my arm. The smell lasts most of the day, and I've had many comments of how great I smell! I am in love with this scent, and I highly recommend it if you like fruity, tropical smelling candles (read Pacifica's description of the scent - it's perfect!). I do wish the throw was a little stronger, but it is such a yummy scent that it is totally worth the price! I will definitely order more from Pacifica in the future!

Very fun scent blends not found elsewhere. Perfect for a bedroom with their intimate, sensual aromas. The descriptions on their web pages are very accurate in my opinion. I found that once the wax burns through one or two sessions, the candle becomes stronger and more permeating. Thank you.

I visited the website and was intrigued by several scents that I wanted to try. However, I found that Pacifica was available at a specialty store not far from home. Sampling the scents in the store (they didn't have all of them) was GREAT, because I came away buying differently than had I purchased online. I sampled 6 scents, one discontinued, so I'll review the 5 that I did try. Thai Lemongrass: A nice, strong lemony smell that will not disappoint the lemon-lover. A votive jar was able to scent a couple of open rooms in my home. Bergamot Amber Rose: It had to burn awhile before I could smell it, and the scent was unique, but not me. I could not detect individual fragrance notes, but the combination was just "ok". Mexican Cocoa: What can I say--I'll be back again and again and again! THAT good. Awesome, truly awesome, and a great scent throw. I'd go seasonal on this one though--it's that cozy-cooler-weather-type fragrance. Spanish Amber: Ahhh....and I didn't think I even liked amber. Maybe it's Pacifica, maybe my tastes have gotten more sophisticated over the years, but this is one Amber candle that I TRULY love. It's a little soft, sultry, sexy, and mysterious, and pure sensory delight. Another Pacifica scent I will buy over & over. LOVE this one! OK, I've saved my favorite for last, Mediterranean Fig. I know, I know, the name is no turn-on. I am SO GLAD that I sampled the scent in the store, because I would have otherwise missed a treasure. I'm not a big fruity-scent person; in the summer sometimes, but that's all. This scent delights me every time I smell it! It's fresh and unique and beautiful, a must-have. What a treasure!!! How do they burn? Not every one has the same scent throw, but they use natural oils, so that would be expected. For a couple of the candles, it took a little while for the scent to kick in. What I LOVE is that there are no artifical undertones competing with the fragrance notes. No smoky undercurrent, just the lucious scent wafting whereafter it can go. Not overpowering, but very present. Definitely the type of candles you'd want to burn for guests, because these scents will not offend. I LOVE them and will eventually try them all!

I received a Mexican Cocoa and a Madagascar Spice in a swap box. Both of these fragrances are right up my alley with the types of scents I like and I have been enjoying them thoroughly. The Mexican Cocoa is subtle and throws well, but light. The Madagascar Spice is stronger than the Mexican Cocoa and has a better throw. Both of these have burned clean and completely and the scents are great. Now that I have tried these I will definitely order from the site because there are some fruit scents I'd like to try. These are pricey but worth the money for a nice gift or treat for yourself.

I just received my order from Pacifica and was a little uncertain after reading some of the reviews, but I was thrilled with my purchases. I bought 6.5 oz. of the Princess flowers and Beloved Spice. I also bought a bar of soap, which I haven't tried yet, but it smells great. I did light the Persion Rose candle from the flower collection and it filled my living room. I was rather surprised that that small a candle would fill my living area, but it did. If their other scents are as nice as the ones I received today, I will be ordering more. Their customer service is not as outstanding as Pure Integrity, but still delivery was timely. I can definitely recommend this company.

I received Amber Bergamot Rose as a gift, (with the glass container). I took it home and immediately dropped it!!!! It looked fine, but after lighting it, I noticed a crack. I set it in a bowl and lit it again, and a piece of glass could be lifted off after the next burning. The hot wax ran into the bowl and I had a revelation - how about turning the melted wax into tarts? Wow! What a great idea this turned out to be. The throw was very strong, and I was able to enjoy the scent of the candle after all. (I now use that last 1/2 inch of my candles as tarts as well - if I really like the fragrance.)

As soon as I had an extra bit of money, I zeroed in on Pacifica candles. They had gotten some excellent reviews from the editors and I am desperate for some stress relief. I wanted to try a variety of scents and decided on two of the three-packs (Emperor's Bounty and Spices and Resins) and a couple more that just sounded intriguing. I wanted the floral "value" pack but they were sold out. Right now I'm burning Tibetan Mountain Temple, which the site describes as having an incense blend of vetiver and patchouli, but smells more like pumpkin spice. I have burned candles that transport me into a New Age shop so vividly that I swear I can hear the crystal windchimes...this is definitely NOT one of them. Not a bad scent, just not my personal favorite. The throw is pretty strong (filling up my whole office in a matter of minutes), and like others have said it's a very natural scent and doesn't give off a cloying or artificial aroma. It burns hot almost exactly what it smells like cold, which isn't a promising start for me because I'm iffy on the other cold smells. The Tunisian jasmine is just heavenly and smells EXACTLY like my favorite jasmine tea which has actual dried jasmine flowers blended in. Now I'm really regretting that they're sold out of the flower three pack and, more specifically, the Persian Rose and Waikiki Pikake. Never thought I'd be a floral lover (almost always preferring a spicier blend), but with Pacifica I think that I would enjoy the experience. ***Update*** I've since burned all of the candles and wanted to revisit some of them. Clary Sage was pretty strong...still smelled like men's cologne when burning and wasn't a favorite. The fig is very, very green. Like a mossy green fragrance or potting soil scent. Not a fav but not terrible. Spanish Amber and Madagascar Spice I burned once and threw away. I literally couldn't stomach them. Especially the Mad Spice which had a strong anise aroma. The saving grace of the bunch was the Tunisian Jasmine...which smelled like jasmine tea and the Blood Orange. The orange was very light though. Some of the candles smelled stronger when they burned down a half an inch or so, but the orange was still very, very light. ***yet another update*** Have since purchased almost every floral they make and am happy with the results. It takes a while for the scent to saturate the room, but I find that lighting the candle about an hour ahead of time makes walking into my room a floral fantasy. And on the plus side, I don't now if it's because they use natural oils, but my nose never "gets use" to the scent. I can sit in the room for hours on end and will still be able to clearly smell the candle burning. Here are my takes on the florals: French Lilac is nice and perfumy. Reminds me of an elegant ladies dressing area filled with fine floral perfumes. Gardenia is a fairly true scent. Waiki Paiki (probably misspelled that) is also a nice flowery scent with the barest hint of fruit to punch it up. All three are a little on the sweet side and have slight tea-like undertones, as did the Tunisian Jasmine from my previous purchase. The persian rose is one of the strongest and truest scent, but while I do love rose, this candle is so strong that the aroma of rose concentrates into an almost bitter sweet-potato-skin-like smell. Acrid and slightly tangy in a smaller room, this is one of the few Pacifica Candles I'd actually recommend burning in a large space. The Vietnamese Ylang-Ylang was my least favorite...smelling just like a bowl of fruity pebbles sans milk. But the one that stole my heart away was the Nile Lily. It's so familiar, yet I can't pin down the flower that it reminds me of (and no...it's not a lily). Maybe Wisteria but spicier? Lovely scent that has more of a dark romance to it than the other more English-cottage florals in the bunch. Will definitely be ordering a large jar of this one.

After reading all the hoopla about Pacifica, I finally caved in and bought a Nile Lily candle, after finally discovering them in a store and not online. I wanted to at least get a cold sniff before I spent that much money on a candle! The pillar I bought was absolutely gorgeous, a deep mottled red. This candle was worth every penny! I normally don't go for florals, but this was such a unique fragrance I couldn't resist. I've since purchased more scents online and so far, I haven't hit paydirt like I did with the Nile Lily. I ordered the Beloved Spice gift set, Carribbean Sugar Pumpkin, Madagascar Spice, Mexican Cocoa and Bourbon Island Vanilla. I have burned the following so far - CSP: 3 oz. jar, Medium scent strength, not a bad scent, just not "wow". Roman Frankincense: Yuck! 3 oz. jar also, and a good thing. I don't care for this scent at all. Somewhat of a wood smell, but not in a good way. Cannot describe it exactly but not a reorder for me! Mex. Cocoa: Fairly strong, more of a common clove, cinnamon scent to me, not the unique fragrance I was led to believe. It's just okay to me. I haven't burned the Bourbon Island Vanilla but the cold scent leads me to think this may just be my favorite. Very unique! Customer service was great, they kept me informed every step of the way about the order & it arrived in a timely fashion. My advice is to find a local store that carries them and then buy the smaller candles to test the scents. Some of them are hidden treasures! By the way, they all burned beautifully, no soot, very clean. High quality candle all the way... UPDATE on Carribbean Sugar Pumpkin: Okay, this candle has finally "found itself"! What a rich, mellow, full-bodied fragrance, now I love it! I guess it had to burn awhile to get going, but whatever the reason for the delay, it was well worth it...

I ordered a 7 oz soy candle in brazillian mango grapefruit and I loved the candle. The scent was very intoxicating and the candle burned cleanly. However for that price I could have gotten the same quality 16 oz soy candle elsewhere. I think their candles are great, but they are on the pricey side.

I took advantage of Pacifica's monthly special combined with the Candlefind discount to order their "Thai Lemongrass" candles in several sizes. Their packaging, like their website, is A-1 but this is the second time I have purchased from Pacifica and find the candles do not have a good throw and they burn unevenly. I am glad I took advantage of the discounts to try them again but the results, in fact, were disappointing.

Imagine my excitement when I saw the "Peace, Love, & Joy" and "Beloved Spice" 3-piece candle gift sets on sale on hsn.com for only $14.95 each instead of $24.95 on the Pacifica site! I'd been wanting to try Pacifica candles based on the reviews here on CandleFind, so I ordered right away. So far I have burned the three candles from the "Peace, Love, & Joy" set. Each is 4 ounces, poured in glass. The scents are Bourbon Island Vanilla, Seabrook Cranberry, and Caribbean Sugar Pumpkin. The good: These candles burned beautifully and cleanly. The quality of the wax and wicks was excellent. However, I could barely detect any fragrance at all from these 3 candles, either cold or burning. I was expecting a light scent and minimal throw from these small candles, but I honestly couldn't smell much of anything at all. When I extinguished the flames and stuck my nose right near the wax pool, the Seabrook Cranberry had a slight berry scent with a pleasant touch of salt spray, and the Caribbean Sugar Pumpkin had a slight fleshy pumpkin scent with, again, a salty tinge. Neither was sweet, which is a big plus in my book. I think I would have really enjoyed these scents if I'd been able to detect them more than an inch or so from the wax pool. I found the Bourbon Island Vanilla to have a strange tallowy scent from the wax pool, but I'll chalk that up to personal preference. I wonder if maybe these candles were very old, or possibly seconds. On hsn.com, the brand Pacifica is not mentioned at all. They're simply referred to as the "Peace, Love, & Joy" and "Beloved Spice" candle sets, item numbers 197-629 and 197-630 respectively. However, the packaging and the candles are clearly Pacifica. I have some misgivings about posting this not-so-positive review of Pacifica, but my hope is that I save someone from purchasing these candles from hsn.com. Perhaps you'll do better to purchase directly from Pacifica. In fact, I'm thinking of purchasing one of these votives directly from Pacifica just to see whether there's a difference, but I'm a little nervous about potentially throwing good money after bad. I'll post an update after I've tried the "Beloved Spice" set. I have higher hopes for those because their scents are quite distinct and detectable even when cold.

I purchased two candles, a pillar candle in nile lily and a jar of zanzibar cinnamon almond. The nile lily pillar burned decent as far as the flame and it didn't leak out the side but I think I expected more smell from the candle for the price. The cinnamon almond jar burned unevenly and the scent was pleasing and mild. Again these are pricier than alot of the other brands and I expected more scent from the candles for being a premium brand. I'm not a big fan of Yankee but from what I remember Yankee had a bit more scent. The packaging was very nice. I would give them as a gift because of how nice these candles look. However I think Pacifica should spend more money putting fragrance in the candles than on the packaging.

I picked up a 3 pack gift set at Hallmark the day after Christmas on clearance. Reg. price 19.95. It was a set of 3 four ounce candles in these scents: Seabrook Cranberry, Bourbon Island Vanilla and Caribbean Sugar Pumpkin. It was packaged very nicely. I was so excited to be able to try these pricey (to me) candles since I had heard a lot about them. I was very disappointed. The Cranberry had a decent, not great, throw by my husband and I agreed it had a bad smell. The vanilla one had almost no scent throw at all. The pumpkin was not better. I am sure this brand has to be better t han these I tried. But, I won't waste my money on them again, even at a sale price.

Pacifica is a very easy to find brand and many people rave about their candles. Their packaging is also simple and quite nice so I thought they might be worth a try .Blood Orange: one of my favorite scents if made more sweet than sour, and when I smelled this candle at the store I thought it fill into that category so I bought it. However due to my disappointment there was no scent throw AT ALL! I made a little research online only to find out that most people reviewed various products with this scent all agreeing it's too weak, so I decided to try another scent before judging them. 1/10 .Thai Lemongrass: This one smelled ok, unlike the blood orange it was not a very unique scent, just lemon grass, so I wasn't that excited about it. It did however have some scent strength to it, mild, but at least it was a "scented candle". 3/10 Overall: .I gave up on Pacifica, it's slightly more expensive than most mass-produced candles yet is really weak. I don't know if I keep getting bad samples, or if those who give it a good reviews have not tried any good brands. Or perhaps I might just be one of these people who are unable to detect the scent of these brands since a few people have shared that same opinion on this board. Overall I don't recommend it, even if you like their scents unlit. And it's also worth mentioning that when my Blood Orange wax all melted, the wax had a serious mini-explosion and kept smoking for 3 minutes! But I'm not going to read too much into that one single experience.
