Cottage Hill Creations has a cute website that is easy to navigate, and has newbie-friendly offerings such as a sampler pack. I've placed a couple of orders with them, and the orders were always accurate and had quick shipping. The tarts I tried in a variety of mostly bakery scents. Visually the clamshells were more appealing as the wax on the individual tarts in bags tended to look messy due to crumbling, but that doesn't affect the scent. If "pretty" is high on your list, stick to the clamshells. Most of the scents threw well and were true to description. I was especially fond of Turkish Hazelnut Cafe, and Huckleberry, both very strong throwers and scents I craved. My fondness for those two scents led me to order them in a candle. I ordered the 12 oz. jars. CHC has their candlemaking skills down pat as the candles burned well without drowning, sooting or leaving residue on the sides. Alas, they also burned without throwing any scent. The cold throw on these were wonderful, but once put to flame the scent just disappeared. This is becoming my typical experience with soy candles, so I can't help but think that candlemakers who choose to use soy wax are up for a challenge when it comes to scenting. If you want a clean-buring soy candle that burns well and lasts a long time, and aren't too concerned with scent, I recommend these. If scent is your goal, stick to the tarts - those do throw well. Overall, I think Cottage Hill Creations is a reliable vendor with good products.
