FRAGRANCE: Bird of Paradise - A magical blend that defies description - An all time favorite TYPE: Votive - Large flower pot type BURN TIME: 35 hours, according to Circle E. This is a very slow burning candle to start out with. It takes several hours for the wax pool to reach the edges the first time it it lit. CLEANLINESS OF BURN: Very clean, no soot or smoke. OVERALL OPINON: This is an awesome candle and an awesome frangrance! The scent is so yummy, you just don't want to blow it out! If you like fresh strawberry shortcake with spring's first crop of sweet strawberries, angel food cake and lots of whipped cream, this is the scent for you! The strawberry part of the fragrance is there, but subtle. The addition of the sweet creamy part of the fragrance is just what is needed to make this is strawberry candle one I will definitely buy again! MY THOUGHTS: This fragrance was a pleasant surprise to me! Strawberry is usually not one of my favorite scents for candles, but this one is different! I lit my candle early in the morning when I got up and began working in my home office. By the time I left to go pick up the day's work, my office was really smelling wonderful! When I returned three hours later, the scent was incredible! Just like strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream! I will definitely add Bird of Paradise by Circle E Candles to my list of favorites! Because the votives made by Circle E are the large flowerpot type, be sure to allow enough time with your first burn for the wax pool to reach the edges to prevent tunneling. I blew my candle out before the wax pool reached the edge, and it tried to start tunneling a little bit when it was lit again, but I was able to salvage it and get it to start burning evenly again. Overall, I highly recommend Circle E Candles and their Bird of Paradise fragrance - Try it, You'll like it!

I ordered Bird of Paradise, which I liked alot. Although this is the only one of there scents I have tried, it is very strong. It was clean burning,(just had to trim the wicks a little) that did not bother me. I want to try a few more of there candles because I'm really enjoying this one. Nice heavy square jars too.

I have "bird of paradise" and "ambrosia", and both are phenomenal. I love the square heavy glass jars. I usually buy the candle of the month featured on the web site. There are also good deals on ebay.

This review is on Circle E candles-Baby Powder , Bird of Paradise and Ambrosia scents. I stumbled across the Circle E site, when searching for a baby powder scented candle for my cousin. She was loving a baby powder scented YC candle, that had been discontinued-I believe they brought it back though. I was impressed with the variety of scents offered on the Circle E site and there was definitely something for all tastes. I ordered the baby powder (1 for me and 1 for my cousin) , ambrosia and bird of paradise candles. All candles had an excellent throw that fills a large room and even multiple rooms. I enjoyed the baby powder and ambrosia candles. The baby powder candle was true to its name and the ambrosia was heavenly-a tropical pineapple, coconut, marshmallow scent. I was disappointed with the bird of paradise which I felt had a saccharine kind of smell. I was surprised after the rave reviews that particular scent received. It just wasn't for me, that's all. I have ordered from Cirlce E frequently and find them to be a high quality candle that burns clean, and has a strong throw. I love that the lid can be placed under the candle as a stand. I will readily admit that I have an obsession with Circle E candles and would recommend to the picky candle lover.

Purchased the orange vanilla scent of this candle. Smells absolutely delicious. Candles can be a touch pricey but can't complain with the nice scent throw and fragrance.

I first came across Circle E candles at a friends house, then my sister starting using them and I absolutely love them. The price is very reasonable - you can get a 40 ounce candle for $20.00. I found them at a nearby store and they were much cheaper than online. These are my favorites: Bird of Paradise - like strawberries and cream. Great scent throw Ambrosia - Awesome. This scent reminds me of Hawaii. Very tropical. Strong scent throw. My mother in law told me my house smelled like Pier 1 when I had it lit. Country Morning - Smells like You're walking into Cracker Barrel, which I love that country store smell. Strong Strong Scent throw. I love these candles. I have just bought Cinnamon Vanilla, Berry Mulberry, and Hawaiian Pineapple because the cold scent smelled awesome but haven't burned them yet - will let you know. Try these candles. You won't be disappointed.

This is another candle company I discovered from this site. I was very tempted to try their Birds of Paradise scent but since I already had so many strawberry scented candles, I decided to try the one called Peace instead. I was amazed at the nice scent that came from this candle. I tried the 12 oz. jar, and the scent filled my living room in less than 30 minutes. It also burned evenly and cleanly. Because of the success with this one, I am sure I will order again from them. My only issues were that the candles are a little pricey, but not too much so. Also, when I placed my order, I only ordered one 12 oz. jar candle and when I received the package, the box was so large that the postman commented on it, wondering if I had ordered the whole store! In turn, the company just really surrounded that one candle with TONS of bubble wrap, peanuts, filler, etc. I guess the packaging is done like that since their jars are made of such a thick, high quality, and heavy glass, but I think it might have been a little overdone.

I was given a 28 oz Birds of Paradise as a gift and I LOVE this scent. It seems to be like a strawberry and cream.... and I actually dislike strawberry scents...but love this one. My only issue is that it has started tunneling... though I have followed the directions to a "T". They are a bit pricey....but are very classy looking....and the scent is awesome! I plan on trying other scents.

I love authentic scents with strong throws. I've been pleased with Circle E's Bed of Roses, Leather, Creme Brulee, Almond Creme Cake and Bird of Paradise. I find the following have a very faint throw even for the 40oz double wicked jar: Sierra Wind, Sage and Verbena and English Ivy. For the price, I would expect a strong throw. I DO NOT reccomend the votive seasonal pack as these are packaged in a cardboard box which absorbs the scents and all votives begin to smell the same. Santa Fe, a Drakkar dup, smells authentic but does not produce the amazing throw like the previous scents mentioned.

These candles were always my favorite. They are a little expensive but they burn slow and smell great. Definitely worth the money. I have tried Bird of Paradise, Ambrosia, Creme Brulee, Indian Summer and many others but those stand out as favorite scents. I always received compliments when people would come to my house when I had one burning. However, since around the beginning of 2006, about the last 5 candles I used, I have noticed that the candles seem less potent. The creme brulee I am currently burning is a 40oz and over 3/4 gone and has only been in my one room office. I have smelled it upon reentering the room only once. I am thinking they must have started using less scent. I am looking into other brands for this reason.

While these are not my favorite candles; still a good candle. I'm hard to please when it comes to candles. I want one that is strong and fills the room. Some of the scents do while others may not. Scents I've Burned: Sugar Cookie Bird of Paradise Spice Cake Tropical Something??? The smells are very authentic and it's always hard to choose which scent to try. Some of the scents fill a room more than others. Bird of Paradise is one of the stronger ones. I bought mine at a speciality store. I belive these candles are a parafin type. The appearance is nice with great jars. They are certainly worth trying. They may be your favorite.

Today I purchased 6 of these candles at a local gift shop and was excited to find a supposedly good soy candle locally. That way I wouldn't pay so much in shipping. I dislike paying heavy shipping charges. Anyway I couln't wait to get home and light one of them. I chose Orange Vanilla. It smelled wonderful in the jar, but after I lit it I could not smell anything. I burned it for three hours and never did even get a whiff of a fragrance. I am so disappointed in this brand. I am hoping that maybe it was just that one. I have just lit Orange Patchouli and I am hoping it will be better. Will edit my post later and give my opinion on this one. Well, I put the Orange Vanilla in a small bathroom to see if I could smell the fragrance in there and I am sorry to say that I cannot. Either I got a bad candle or there is just no smell to this. I put the Orange Patchouli in my bedroom and at least I can smell it as I walk by. It doesn't fill the room but at least you can smell it. I have four other fragrances and will post my reaction to those as I use them. I must say I am disappointed in this brand. I had read some great reviews and was thrilled to find them locally. I spent $100 on the 6 candles but I would not do so again. Update: I put the Orange Patchulli in a small bathroom and it is doing fine there. I guess the fragrance is not strong enough to fill an average sized room. I also have been burning one of their candles called Eternity and I am happy with this one. The smell does fill my living room. I guess the first one I tried was just a bad candle. I like the Eternity enough to raise their rating. They are better that I first thought. I don't know if I will be buying any more of them since there are a few other companies I like so much better.
