What did my candle smell like?
Raspberry Citrus Swirl was a super cute candle with its bright red wax, a colorful clear label showing an illustration of berries and citrus fruit. The scent name was shown in a fun and modern font. It was a really fun and bright candle.
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
Indulge in a mouth-watering mix of ruby red raspberries swirled into a fresh pressed citrus and passion fruit juice.
First impression of this fragrance… hard to tell. To my nose, it smelled pretty citrusy… the berry notes seemed light but hoping all that comes out once the candle is burning. I liked what I was smelling though. A sweet and bright citrus cocktail. Yum!!
Time to find out how it burns!
I lit this candle in my master bedroom and it took not even 15 minutes before the fragrance was traveling all throughout my bedroom. The aroma… it reversed!! The citrus toned down and opened up to a nice and sweet berry punch fragrance instead. That’s what this scent reminded me of. A sweet and sugary berry punch with slight hints of citrus in the background. It was a really fun and summery scent.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle an 8 in a large bedroom. 10 and above in a medium and smaller room. Very nice scent throw.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean and even burn from beginning to end.
Closing to my review:
This was a fun candle to burn and also lovely to watch burning. The wax glowed a beautiful red once the candle reached a full melt pool and it was really pretty. Did I like this fragrance enough to to gush over it? Not really. It was nice and I enjoyed it but not sure I liked it enough to purchase it again. Know what I mean?
Should you hit a Bath & Body Works store, go check this scent out for yourself… you may think differently.

Loved it!
The candle’s fragrance filled the entire room with a very lovely, calming scent. I will definitely purchase this candle again!

A very pungent candle, but not one that I would buy again.
I also have encountered problems towards the end of my B&BW candles.
As in a very odd, almost gasoline smell.
Following all burning instructions for wax pool, clipping the wicks, etc. There is something very different in the wax this year.
Maybe a cheaper grade of wax or fragrance?
