Introduction to Pure Integrity Fruit Slices review:
My first Pure Integrity review! I really-really love these candles. They sell 100% all soy candles in over 70 fragrances which is a pretty nice selection. I’ve read Carolyn’s review on their Grape scented candle and I probably check out their web site on a weekly basis with
more and more scents being added to my wish list all the time.
I’ve been burning candles for a long time now and can say without a doubt, Pure Integrity makes some of the best around. If you’re after pure soy, these candles are a must try. So when did I start liking Pure Integrity?
Several months ago, I received a call from Jeff Schumacher, co-owner and President of Pure Integrity asking me if I would like to try a few of their candles. Um, heck yes!! I listened to him explain why their candles are so special and what sets them apart from every other candle out there. He called it “Innovative Fragrance Technology”. It’s a 7 step process that allows their soy wax to absorb much more fragrance than any other candle you can buy on the market today. It’s much to detailed for me to explain in this review but if you would like to read up on it further, it’s explained in detail on their website.
If I’m being honest here, I really didn’t know what to expect with these candles. Every candle company out there claims to have the best but do they really? The one thing that stood out to me the most with Pure Integrity was the phone call. How refreshing it was to get a call with the person on the other end completely and totally passionate about what they have achieved, created and have to offer. THAT right there made me realize, okay, this guy knows his stuff, stands by his products, LOVES his candles, isn’t pushy but wants to make sure I’m getting what I want. That really impressed me and made me all the more want to try his candles.
The fragrances I ended up choosing were Fruit Slices, Pumpkin Pie, & Hot Apple Strudel. This review centers on Fruit Slices.
What does my 16 oz Fruit Slices from Pure Integrity look like?
My candle is beautiful. It’s a 16oz frosted jar with no labeling (Finally!! A jar with no label on it!!) but my favorite part is the lid which is flat and made of natural wood. Very classy and simple and I think the first candle I’ve come across that really does fit with any decor. My candle is double wicked and the wax was a burnt orange color.
What did my Fruit Slices candle smell like? 
I could sum up this review with one word – mouthwatering! I think you all are getting to know me well enough now to know I’m a fruit freak. Give me any kind of fruit candle and I’m pretty much happy and content. Fruit candles come in so many packages from melons, apples to citrus, tart, tangy, sweet, you get the picture. Fruit Slices is all that wrapped into one delicious and savory candle. Everything I love is in this candle, sweet, tart, tangy, juicy. My candle is a blend of tangerine, mango, pomegranate and oranges so you get to smell a bit of everything. I would say tangerine & oranges stood out the most to me with mango and pomegranate giving a hint of sweetness that was just right. This is another candle you want to dig into with a spoon till it’s all gone.
I lit my candles right when I woke up one morning and not even 5 minutes after I lit them, I began to notice the fragrance. I always burn two candles at a time because my great-room is open and huge with 12 foot ceilings so I normally need two to completely fragrance that size room. When Jeff and I were discussing this on the phone, he said I probably would only need one – his candles are that strong. I thought to myself as I’m listening to him, “yeah right” But, he humored me anyway and sent two. 🙂 Well, I could have probably gotten away with one but, I’m absolutely LOVING two!!
I could smell this fragrance morning noon and night. All throughout the day, I found myself closing my eyes and breathing in the incredible fragrance in my house. I know when that happens, I’ve found a keeper. Scented candles are amazing to me being able enhance your mood with just scent. A simple fragrance can relax you, energize you or just plain make you happy. I don’t know about you but with my stressful life, I can use all the natural relaxing mood enhancement help I can get!
The scent throw with Fruit Slices was incredible; I can smell it in every part of my upper level. And, when I’m downstairs, I can smell the fragrance down my stairwell as I’m walking back upstairs. It’s a very bright, lively and refreshing scent. For fruit lovers out there who enjoy burning fruity candles all year around, this is the ultimate fruity/citrus scent.
How did my Fruit Slices soy candle from Pure Integrity burn?
My candles burned perfectly. My 16oz candles are double wicked which I love and think always ensures an even and clean burn. I really loved the frosted jars as they gave a beautiful glow when lit. My candles burned clean leaving no soot or smoke.
My overall opinion of my Fruit Slices candle and Pure Integrity…
There are very few soy candles I’ve tried and been happy with so I admit I tend to favor candles that are paraffin wax. I don’t know why but a lot of soy candles I’ve tried, I have a hard time smelling. When I burn candles, I want to be blasted with scent, not burn my nose trying to smell t
he fragrance. With that said, I am incredibly pleased and happy with my candles from Pure Integrity. They were very strong and fragrant but what impressed me the most is how authentic my candles smelled. This company has really nailed that one down flat and I highly recommend this company to anyone who loves authentic and strong smelling candles.
Pure Integrity gets the highest of ratings from me and I look forward to trying all their other fragrances in the future (and knowing me, the very near future). The candles I’ve tried so far truly stand out and I think even the pickiest candle lover would be extremely impressed with them as well.
Fruit Slices was awesome! Super strong and mouthwatering. Highly recommend this candle!
