First Impression:
I’m sure you’re all aware that you can no longer purchase ScentSationals melts directly from their website now? Yeah. I was sad and pretty disappointed myself. My local Walmart carries a fraction of the scents they list on their website so it’s a constant tease to know there are scents out there that I’ll never be able to purchase. Annoying!! Cruel!! Commence whining….
One of the scents I wanted to review was Pumpkin Marshmallow Cream and luckily my Walmart had it.
First impression, a creamy pumpkin when smelling it cold. I couldn’t make out the marshmallow but hoping that comes to life once the wax was melting.
Time to find out!
Melting:
I used the entire clamshell pack in two electric melters in my great room. It’s a huge room so two melters is perfect. Once melting, it took roughly ten minutes to start noticing the fragrance and from then on out, a warm pumpkin bread aroma filled the upper level of my home. I never did detect sweet marshmallow and that did bum me out a little bit… marshmallow as indicated in the scent name would have been nice. To me, this scent reminded me of a spicy pumpkin bread. I liked it but it wasn’t what I was expecting.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate these melts an 8 in a large room. 10 above in a medium to smaller rooms. It definitely wasn’t knock your socks off strong in a large room but gave a nice medium throw.
Would I purchase this scent again? Probably not. I liked it but keeping it real… it kind of fell flat for me and pretty much smelled like all the other pumpkin blends ScentSationals carries. Nothing in this scent stood out to me that would make me go bonkers for it. But… don’t take my word for it. Next time you’re at Walmart, go smell one. You may think differently.
Pumpkin Marshmallow Cream is a limited addition scent so that means it’s seasonal. If you wanted to try it, don’t wait. It may be gone before you know it.
