Intro To My Wax Melt Review
I’ve been hunting for a good pistachio caramel scent, so I was thrilled to learn that a Pistachio Ice Cream wax melt was in my sampler box from Closet Full of Wax. I’ve had this sampler for months and have been hauling it around just about everywhere. (And yes, that’s why my carry-on luggage smelled so heavenly on the plane!) I decided it was time to plunk this one into my warmer and see if it was the scent I was feigning for.
First Impressions of My Wax Melt
This was a cute wax melt in four green squares with glitter on top. The wax melt was packaged neatly into a zip top baggie with the label clearly on it. I’ve gotten samplers before that are hard to dicepher which scent is which, but not with these lovelies. I opened the package and instantly knew…this was THE one! It was such a creamy, sweet scent and oh-so-divine. I had a pretty strong cold sniff, so I was encouraged that this one would give a good throw.

I thought that was really the perfect description. I got less of the nuttiness of the pistachio and more of the creamy, sweet notes. That was just what I was looking for, though, when I was hunting for that yummy pistachio caramel scent.
I used the four cubes at once as they were smallish and I wanted to melt them in a large, open space. I didn’t have this wax on the warmer more than 15 minutes before I started noticing the scent. Ohmygoodness – delicious! Once warmed, more of the pistachio nuttiness emerged and it was also a tad bit sweeter than on cold sniff. Still, not sticky, candy-like sweet. But sweet and creamy, thick, and delicious.
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
This pistachio caramel scent completely filled the open living space where I had it, and it even wafted down the hallways. Fantastic! I could tell it was not a super strong scent, but it did travel well. It also lasted a long time non-stop in my warmer. I kept it on most of the day without it missing a beat. I finally poured it out because I had to move on to my next scent, but I think this one could have lasted several more hours.
Closing To My Wax Melt Review
I was pleased as punch with this pistachio caramel scent. I’ve just started ordering from CFOW, but I can see myself going back for this one. I also see it’s a staple in many of their houseblends, and I can see why. It is not too overpowering, but it is creamy and delicious. Makes for a great mixer. It’s certainly one I plan on keeping in my back pocket.
