Intro To My Body Wash Review
Candlefind is, of course. all about scented wax, melters, candle jars, and the like. But it’s not a far cry from scented wax to scented bath/body products, and we seem to love those types of products just as much. Since we use them all the time, why not talk about them?
First up is this amazing body wash I picked up on a whim while traveling. I had a pick-up-and-go kind of gig and left all my usual suspects at home. I found myself wandering the aisles of Walmart when this Softsoap gem caught my eye. Pink Peony & Sea Salt? Count me in!
Packaging/Presentation
This was a super cute bottle that had a neat design. It was narrower towards the bottom which made for an easier grip in the shower. Of course the pink was pleasing to this gal – all tastefully done but a very feminine presentation. The flip cap made it easy to use this product with wet hands. It was a relatively slim bottle that had no trouble sitting on the side of the tub and it looked good while doing so. That’s a plus.
Fragrance
I love the smell of peonies. They are just about as fragrant as they are beautiful, IMO. This was a soft, sweet floral that was very, very pretty. It was not overly floral…it seemed just right. I didn’t get any saltiness – just the floral notes.

Yep. I suppose the sea salt reference was just the fact that sea salt was present for exfoliation. It was but it was so far down on the ingredient list, I don’t think that was meant to be a part of the “scent.” The soft floral was what struck me and what I loved so much in the shower.

Lather
This body wash produced a really light, scant lather. However, that’s not what this body wash was about. It’s not a foaming sugar scrub, but a gentle salt scrub, so the lack of the lather wasn’t that bothersome to me.
Skin After Feel
This made my skin feel fairly soft after using it. My skin felt a little tight but soft. I didn’t rush out of the shower and grab a moisturizer, but I did feel like I needed a nice thick one before I left for the day. I did notice one of the main ingredients for this is sodium laureth sulfate (SLS), so I’m sure that’s why I felt the tightness/tug.
As far as exfoliation, the scrub provided a really gentle one – so gentle I’ve been using it every day without problems or feeling like I’m overdoing it.
Effectiveness
As far as a cleanser, this was a decent body wash. It had a nice, soft floral scent that lingered. The exfoliation was nice if you’re looking for a gentle one that can be used every day. I would have preferred something a little more moisturizing, but I did feel fresh and clean after use.
Closing To My Body Wash Review
Overall, this was a good pinch hitter body wash. It’s one I don’t regret purchasing. It has a pleasant, soft floral smell and did a nice job at gentle exfoliation. I certainly found that I could use this one every day without worry. I don’t think this is one I’d rush out again and purchase again, but I’ll definitely finish what I have. I’m glad I tried it, because I think it makes me appreciate some of my other favorites even more!
