First impression of Pineapple Crumb Cake:
I almost didn’t purchase Pineapple Crumb Cake, a new scent out this year from Bath & Body Works because I already reviewed one just like it from White Barn. But, the descriptions were a little different so I went ahead anyway. I love bakery scents and this one sounded too yummy to pass up. I also loved the cute whimsical labeling against a white background. Yep, I’m a sucker for presentation too – it gets me every time.

Golden pineapple, rich pound cake, sweet brown butter.
Oh YUM!! I’ll take two please!! I’m a pound cake girl and just the thought of adding sweet pineapple and brown sugar to it sounded mouthwatering. Smelling the wax, I smelled pineapple the most with very little bakery. That could change though once the candle is burning.
Let’s get to it!
I lit my Pineapple Crumb Cake candle in my master bedroom which turned out to be the perfect setting. The wicks lit right up and the aroma started traveling not long after, and boy was it delicious. A warm pineapple cake filled my bedroom, a scent I could easily eat with a tall glass of milk. Warm white cake, sweet pineapple and yes, I could even smell the warm brown sugar. Cake and pineapple stood out the most which I was perfectly happy with. The brown sugar was subtle, adding a nice toasted sweetness. I wish I had a White Barn Pineapple Crumb Cake to compare because I have a feeling it’s the same scent. Can’t be sure but I’m highly suspecting it. Regardless, you can’t go wrong with either one. If you love pineapple bakery scents, this is a must have.
Strength – I would rate Pineapple Crumb Bake an 8 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. This candle gave a nice full bodied throw. Loved it!
How did my Pineapple Crumb Cake candle burn?
This candle burned perfect! Zero wick issues – YAY!!!! I even had to trim the wicks a few times, which I was happy to do. Better that than the wicks sputtering out as many Bath & Body Works candles have done in the past. Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Pineapple Crumb Cake was a definite yum and a candle I would totally buy again. Just imagine lots of pound cake with the perfect touch of pineapple and brown sugar. The cake stood out the most which made me happy. The rest was just icing on the cake.
