Introduction To My Pineapple Cilantro Candle Review:

I hit the most amazing sale at Illume last year and oh my goodness, I scored some amazing fragrances.

One of my favorite scents from Illume is Pineapple Cilantro… out of all the companies that carry this one, I think Illume’s version is the best. Imagine the sweetest and freshest pineapple with loads of sweet sugar…. that is what this fragrance smells like to me. Here is the scent description from Illume’s website:

“An unexpected, quirky combination—yin and yang—that you just can’t get enough of. Peppery cilantro accents sweet pineapple and rose petals with a delicious finish of woody tonka, vanilla bean and heliotrope musk.”

Top notes – Lemon, orange, cilantro.

Middle notes – Juicy Pineapple, rose, floral.

Bottom notes – Heliotrope, musk, tonka, vanilla

That’s quite the description but when I smell this candle, all I smell is pineapple. I don’t detect any floral, none. I don’t even think I smell tonka, lemon, orange or cilantro. Weird right? I do smell hints of vanilla but we’re talking teeny hints.

Want to point out, the tin I purchased (pictured above) is no longer listed on their website but it is however available in a variety of different styles so if you wanted to purchase one, you’ll have plenty of options. My tin was pretty large with 3 wicks so I started it out in my large bedroom to see how it would perform. Once lit, it didn’t take long to start noticing the aroma and oh my goodness… the fragrance drifted through every part of my bedroom and it was wonderful. The aroma…. A sweet and tangy, fresh pineapple. The kind you want to sink your teeth into and savor. LOVED!!

Strength – This tin was pretty large and had 3 wicks so the strength was pretty decent compared to some of Illume’s other styles. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle between a 6 and 7. It gave a nice and steady soft medium scent throw. Not super strong but pretty decent and I had this candle burning in a pretty large bedroom.

How Did My Pineapple Cilantro Candle Burn?

My candle burned perfect. Zero issues with the wicks, clean burning with no wasted wax. I did have to keep up with wick maintenance before I lit it each day but that’s pretty normal. If I didn’t, the flames got out of hand.

Closing To My Review:

I think it’s safe to say I loved this fragrance and highly recommend it to all you pineapple lovers out there. It doesn’t matter which style candle you choose either – they’re all good. The scent…. Perfect! Imagine a juicy and sweet pineapple that is so fresh and tangy… you’ll be taking deep breathes in appreciation often while the candle is burning. I did.
