What did my candle smell like? 

One of the biggest bummers with Bath & Body Works candles is how fast their fragrances come and go. I swear Christmas scents were up for a short time and then POOF!! They’re gone. So annoying when you want to review them. So bear with me folks because I’m reviewing them all this month anyway. I’m determined.

I love the White Barn brand so any time I see a scent from this company whether it sounds interesting or not, I usually purchase it. They’re so consistent, strong and oh my goodness are their scents amazing. Even the fragrances I don’t think I’ll care for end up surprising me. Peace sounded like a fragrance I would enjoy and it turns out, I was right…. It was awesome! 

Let’s start off with the scent description from the bottom of the candle:

“Enjoy the peaceful holiday with this soothing blend of sweet vanilla, smoldering woods and iced lavender.”

Oh my gosh does that sound wonderful. Smelling the wax, it smelled amazing… I detected mostly vanilla and woods but crossing my fingers the lavender comes out once burning because how unique would that be? Time to find out!!

I lit this candle in my master bedroom… my favorite room to burn White Barn candles in and it didn’t take long to start noticing the scent once burning. Once the candle burned a good 30 minutes, the fragrance was everywhere… in my bedroom, adjoining open bathroom and even spilled out into my great room. The scent…. Beautiful!! It smelled like creamy vanilla with smoky woodsy notes. It was very masculine. I still wasn’t detecting lavender which I admit was a bummer. The smoldering woods dominated above everything else. Regardless, I loved it!! The overall scent was sophisticated and elegant and I could easily burn this candle all year long.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle an 8. It wasn’t knock your socks off strong but gave a nice and full bodied medium scent throw. I thought it was perfect.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned perfect. No wick issues. It burned evenly from beginning to end. A+

Closing to my review: 

I really enjoyed this fragrance and can see myself purchasing it again for sure. It was not your average holiday fragrance. To me, it was elegant and romantic with a masculine kind of vibe to it.

I love White Barn candles and think they did a great job with this one. I do recommend it for those who love more sophisticated fragrances.
